Friday Harness Racing Guide
Wolf’s Best Bet
Mildura Race 8, No. 1 Fortitudo
He maps perfectly in this race and should be able to hold the lead and go for an all the way victory. He has drawn the backrow his last four starts and today will appreciate the front row draw as he races best up on the speed.
Port Pirie Race 4, No. 2 Cheersbigears
From gate two he should cross to the front and from there he should be very hard to beat. He is ultra consistent and has a good record at this track. He won two starts back here when leading in 1.56.9.
Albion Park Race 8, No.6 Gasmonkey
Last start he produced an awesome win when death seating and winning in 1.53.5. From his front line draw he should work to the death seat again and be too good for this field, especially when referencing his last start victory over this trip.
Albion Park Race 1, No.7 Feelingforamiracle
He has only had the two race starts but was a real eye-catcher last start at this track. The Wolf concedes he has another terrible draw but this field is no stronger than the field last start and with better luck in running he can charge over the top of them late.
Gloucester Park Race 1, No.1 The Shadow Knows
She looks to have her fair share of ability but was plagued with problems in her first preparation. Her two runs back have been very good. Last start from the bad barrier she got way too far out of her ground. Tonight from barrier one she should have the leader’s back and is a great each-way bet.
Wolf’s Back Breaker
Gloucester Park Race 4, No. 1 Northern Assassin
He was once touted as a potential top liner but hasn’t gone on with the job. Tonight he has drawn gate one which should ensure he starts well into red figures and The Wolf just cant have him at the odds on offer. He hasn’t won for nine starts and tonight looks like he might face pressure in the run.

LISTED CLASSIC – $25,000 Marathon Handicap Ss Pace Sky 1 (Gloucester Park)
The marathon is an incredibly open race but it is a race where the class runners normally shine. Our Sky Major was a good winner last start in fast time and with the right run into the race, he will be the hardest to beat. Phoenix Warrior is another runner off the 30 metre handicap but he is tough and loves the staying trip. He is also coming off a tough win last start. Naughty Maravu beat Our Sky Major two starts back and is another of the major players.
$23,000 Ms Pace Sky 1 (Gloucester Park)
With the more favoured runners drawing wide over the sprint trip early gate speed is going to be vital. The Wolf thinks Dredlock Rockstar holds all the keys as he will start from gate one and will have the option of leading or taking cover. The last time he led he won over this trip in 1.53.9. Cyamach has drawn wide but is racing tough and is more than capable of sitting outside the leader and winning. Bettors Fire is a very interesting runner as he hasn’t raced since last summer but only three starts back finished third in the G1 Fremantle Cup.
