Wolf’s Greyhound Racing Guide – The Meadows, 17 January

Wolf’s Best

Aston Dee Bee (The Meadows Race 8, No. 2)

Aston Dee Bee is one of the best in the business and looks well placed to add another G1 win to his tally by taking out the Temlee. He’s won twice at the track/distance and has finished no worse than second in his past eight starts. Should be suited by Box 2 and will be doing his best work late.

The Wolf loves this superstar!

Circuit Bets

Right On Cue (The Meadows Race 3, No. 1)

Right On Cue won by eight lengths over this course and distance three starts ago and The Wolf is predicting a similar performance here. Her run of 29.89 that day should blow this field away and from the red box The Wolf expects she’ll get every chance to do so. She races very well fresh and if she finds her best she’ll be going home the winner.

Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $2.80

Fanta Bale (The Meadows Race 5, No. 4)

Fanta Bale is by far and away the best chaser currently racing in Australia and The Wolf is expecting to her add yet another Group 1 final to her name. She’s won an astonishing 39 from 59 career starts and if she runs up to her best she’ll take beating here. Her best time over this course and distance is 42.41 and if she repeats that here she’ll be winning.

Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $2.45

Hecton Bale (The Meadows Race 6, No. 3)

Hecton Bale stamped himself as a star on the rise three starts ago at Sandown when beating Fanta Bale, and if he produces that performance here he’ll take beating. He’s drawn very well in box 3 where he should be able to get a nice trail behind Henry heading into the first before taking over down the back straight. He had a nice tune up over 450m at Ballarat last start and The Wolf is expecting him to be cherry-ripe for this and he expects Hecton Bale will be winning the Group 1 Rookie Rebel.

Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $5.00

Dyna Chancer (The Meadows Race 9, No. 7)

Dyna Chancer ran a speedy 29.80 over this course and distance five starts ago and if he can repeat that performance here he’ll go home the winner. He has the box speed to lead which he’ll need from out wide and if can cross from box 7 this race could be over at the first turn. His record of nine wins from 12 starts is outstanding and The Wolf is confident he’ll notch up career-win number 10 here.
