Worm Burner (The Meadows Race 6, No. 7) ($1.80)
Superstar Group 1 winner that’s four times from six starts for his new kennel in Victoria.
He’s drawn wide for the task at hand but should have plenty on this field and if he leads them soon after box rise it’ll be game over.
From boxes seven and eight he holds 17 wins combined, so don’t expect the wide draw to pose a problem.
The Wolf is confident that his class will rise to the top and prove far too good for this field.
Shallay Pallay (The Meadows Race 5, No. 2) ($3.10)
Speedy NSW sprinter that comes down here with an outstanding seven from ten, top three finishes.
He flies out of the boxes and if his races north of the border are any indication of his early speed he’ll do the same again here.
The Wolf is confident the box draw will tell the tale here and if this son of Barcia Bale finds the rail early it could be all over from the get go.
Jimmy Newob (The Meadows Race 8, No. 8) ($1.65)
One of the fastest young pups currently going around that consistently flies around the track.
Last start he finished second to Aussie Infrared in a heat of the Bendigo Cup. He ran a bold race that day; after being shuffled back early flew home to grab second.
Steps back up from the 425m to 525m here and expect off his last run he’ll appreciate every metre of the extra distance.
The Wolf is confident that with luck early he should get clear running into the first turn and prove too strong in the finish.
Shadale (The Meadows Race 9, No. 3) ($3.00)
Talented chaser that’s won seven from 12 career starts.
He’s drawn perfectly in Box three where he can position himself just behind the leaders and with clear running be untouched early.
His 29.55 win at Sandown two starts back is low flying and a time anywhere close to that here should see him winning.
The Wolf is confident that his hot run of form will continue here to make it five wins from his last six starts.
