Maturity Final – Runner By Runner

Greyhound Racing

The Wolf’s runner by runner analysis of the Group 1 Maturity Final at The Meadows.

1. Allen Kempo ($4.40)
Racing in fine form winning his last 2 starts here at The Meadows over this track and distance in good times with a best of 29.98. He isn’t the greatest of beginners but with luck in running will prove very hard to hold out from the ideal inside box. Represents an excellent each-way chance.

2. Shima Song ($5)
This bitch possesses brilliant early speed and is ideally drawn here in the checks. Has built an impressive record here at The Meadows with 6 wins and 3 placings from 10 attempts and has been racing against some of the best in training at her past 8 starts. Big chance and has his paw on the till.

3. Aeroplane Tommy ($8.50)
Not a great beginner and doubt anything will change here in the final. Was a nice win in the semi last week but time wasn’t anything flash so think he will struggle against the quality of some of the more fancied runners. Needs plenty of luck in a tough race.

4. Dyna Juggler ($31)
Not very well boxed in the 4 tonight and has run 2 seconds in heat and semi but times were ordinary and its hard to see him improve enough to sneak into the money. Only upside is that he has a very good record here at the track and distance with 6 wins and placed 5 times from 20 careers starts

5. Ultimate Magic ($3.60)
Absolutely flying at present and is unbeaten from 4 attempts here. Very smart greyhound from the Azzopardi kennel and has 15 wins from 22 starts with his latest an brilliant semi-final win here last week where he blitzed his rivals giving nothing else a chance. The Wolf thinks he is a big show.

6. Kilty Express ($6.50)
Another quick beginner who gets his chance to atone here in the final. Was no match for Ultimate Magic in the semi and if he crosses him at the first turn he could cause some trouble to the favourite and be very hard to catch. Prefer drawn inside and must lead to win. Each-way.

7. Rippin Rose ($21)
Racing very consistently and is from same litter and kennel as the dog drawn on her outside Rippin Hayne who on paper looks a better chance of winning. Whilst she has been racing well she hasn’t ran the times of the more fancied runners and will struggle drawn out wide. Needs to lead to have a hope.

8. Rippin Hayne ($3.90)
Is flying of late and was the fastest semi winner here last week where he ran a cracking 29.82 leading throughout. Has a nice record at The Meadows and is well boxed to avoid early trouble and if he crosses he will prove the one to beat. Huge chance in a tough and open race.

9. Calvacade ($9.50)
Least experienced in the final and not without some hope if she gains a start. Has been racing well of late without winning but has run some very useful races. Will be better for the outing and needs an inside draw.

10. Invictus Rapidus ($4.80)
Class runner and if he earns a start tonight he will be extremely hard to beat. Won the heat in fine style and was unlucky in the semi last week where he just missed out on qualifying for the final. Boasts an impressive career and will be the one to beat if makes the cut.
