Aussie Jason Day came up just short in his defence of the PGA Championship with American Jimmy Walker becoming the fourth 1st time major champion in 2016.
Those who backed Jason Day were given a huge shout when he eagled 18 but Walker held his nerve to par the last and hoist The Wanamaker Trophy.
There was some relief for the loyal followers of the defending champ who will be refunded any tournament winner bets as he finished within four strokes of the winner. The select few who were on long shot Daniel Summerhays also benefited from his final round 66 which saw him finish four shots behind Walker.
