Racing and Sports Tips – 30/11/17

bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

The Wolf’s best bet looks to be the class runner of the field and will be suited by the long home straight at Scone.

Scone Thoroughbred Bet (5:25pm AEDT)

War Hero (Race 8, No.1) is the class runner of the field and with extra fitness he looks hard to beat second up at Scone today.

Trained locally by John Ramsey, he had enough class to finish third in the Listed Gosford Guineas back in March.

First up he hit the line strongly but the big weight and fitness prevented him overhauling the winner who led all the way.

He should get back in the field but he has a powerful finish and that style of racing is suited at Scone with the long home straight

Warrnambool Thoroughbred Bet (5:30pm AEDT)

Getting down in grade and back to his home track should see Del Piero (Race 4, No.2) hard to beat at Warrnambool on Thursday.

His last two runs have been full of merit, with placings at BM70 and BM78 grade at his last two appearances.

He reunites with talented apprentice Justin Huxtable, who has won on the horse before and has built a nice partnership with the McLean yard.

Expect him to get back in the run but with plenty of speed engaged he should be able to run over them.

Recommended Price: $5.50

NBA: Minnesota @ New Orleans (12:05pm AEDT)

Two franchises with big ambitions this seasons and they find themselves in very similar scenarios.

They are hovering just above .500 and are still trying to discover their respective identities.

The Pelicans are finally starting to play some defence.

In a 3 game win streak over the Thunder, Spurs and Suns they held their opponents to just 96ppg.

With Cousins and Davis it only makes sense that they defend the paint and make sides hurt them from beyond the arc

. There is no reason for Pelicans opponents to be shooting in excess of 20 free throws per game.

That number will come down as the season goes on.

They will also be helped by the fact that the Timberwolves are on the second of a back to back.

It means limited scoring for Minnesota with the Under 11-3 in their last 14 and 5-1 in their last 6 on the road.

Minnesota do turn the ball over but Minnesota are 23th in fastbreak points per game and rarely run the floor on the break.

Another factor that should help the total stay well below 218.

Shepparton Greyhound Bet (5:37pm AEDT)

Ido Voodoo (Race 12, No.1) has four wins and a placing from nine starts at the track/distance.

He owns a personal time of 21.91 at the track and will get all of the favours out of Box 1 tonight.

Looks well placed to return to the winner’s circle.

Recommended Price: $2.20
