bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

The Wolf’s best bet is first-up today and looks a great price with an outstanding trial under her belt.

Canterbury Thoroughbred Bet (2:35pm AEDT)

A winner as a two year old, this Mark Newnham trained filly caught the eye with an outstanding recent trial that The Wolf thinks will have her ready to go first up.

Her sole win at two came at Hawkesbury, where she showed a good turn of foot to run over the top of a strong field over 1000m. It is telling that her two best performances were both on firm ground, conditions that she is certain to encounter here.

Star Sensation’s (Race 3, No.7) latest trial, behind likely future star White Moss, was terrific. She came from well back in the home straight to almost win it. If Tim Clark can have her close enough in the run she will be powering through the line late.

Doomben Thoroughbred Bet (1:43pm AEDT)

The Chris Waller team is starting to fire right up in Brisbane and even though Shaolin Kungfu (Race 1, No.3) will be far from the best horse the master trainer sends to the Sunshine State, he gets his chance to break through in a very weak maiden.

His last start effort at Kembla doesn’t read too well on paper but he was caught three wide for much of the trip and the winner looks very smart.

Go on the performances prior to that – back to back thirds at Gosford and Wyong – and he should be very hard to beat in this weak affair.

Recommended Price: $5.50

MLB: Minnesota @ NY Yankees (11:05am AEDT)

The Yankees finished the season with a 5-2 record and they went close to winning the AL East.

They swept the Twins in three games at Yankee Stadium in mid-September.

Which also included a 2-1 win over Ervin Santana as he starts for the Twins in this game.

Santana had a great record on the road this year, going 10-3 with a 2.71 ERA.

In his last outing, he kept the Indians scoreless over 5 innings and allowed just 4 hits.

While for the Yankees, Luis Severino will make the start.

The Yankees are 8-2 in his last 10 starts and they’ve won 5 straight.

At home, the Yankees are 4-0 when he pitches.

He has a 8-5 record at Yankee Stadium in 2017 and a 3.71 ERA.

He was particularly strong in night games as he went 12-4 with a 2.37 ERA.

So all signs are pointing to a low scoring game (Under 7.5) in the Bronx.

The Yankees are 5-1 against the under total game score and all 6 were also at Yankee Stadium.

It’s also 4-2 in games between the Twins and Yankees this season.

The Meadows Greyhound Bet (1:40pm AEDT)

Henry (Race 12, No.5) has made a return to form, with back-to-back wins and looks well placed again today.

Box 4 has been one of his most successful boxes and he has enough early speed to avoid trouble.

He has won his last two by a combined 9.75 lengths and looks set to bring up the hat-trick with even luck.

Confidence Level:

Recommended Price: $2.80
