Racing and Sports Tips – 9/3/18
Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!
The Wolf’s best bet looks very hard to beat in the Newcastle Newmarket Handicap.
Newcastle Thoroughbred Bet (4:55pm AEDT)
(Race 6, No.6) is looking for his third win in a row here and The Wolf is expecting him to get it. Lanciato
He won the Carrington Stakes ahead of Prized Icon last start at Rosehill and if he produces that run here he will be winning.
He’s trialled well since then and with only 54kg on his back he should prove tough to beat.
Confidence Level: Recommended Price: $3.10
Newcastle Thoroughbred Bet (5:35pm AEDT)
(Race 3, No.2) won four in a row last prep and if he’s returned in good order for this he will take running down. Latin Boy
He’s won first up previously and based on his latest trial he looks ready to fire upon resuming.
He’s drawn well in barrier 3 where Guymer should look to settle him behind the leading duo before pulling out to give chase.
Confidence Level: Recommended Price: $2.20
NRL: North Queensland v Cronulla
The Wolf is extremely keen on the Sharks with the start here, and suggests they look over the odds in head-to-head betting.
Cronulla has won four of the past five against the Cowboys and have covered in six of the last nine clashes between the teams.
The Wolf is all over the Cowboys to take out the NRL premiership, but is expecting a rusty performance out of the blocks.
Both Thurston and Matt Scott are returning from long-term injuries, while Kane Linnett and Lachlan Coote will watch this one from the sidelines due to injury.
. Sharks with the 5.5 start
Confidence Level: Recommended Price: $1.95
The Meadows Greyhound Bet (10:45pm AEDT)
(Race 11, No.1) has won two from four at the track/distance and will get all the favours out of Box 1. Tears I’m Not
She should be able to dictate from out in front and prove extremely hard to run down.
The only tears will be tears of joy when she salutes.
Confidence Level: Recommended Price: $2
