Racing and Sports Tips – 5/7/18

bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

The Wolf’s best bet doesn’t win out of turn but looks well placed back to BM64 level at the provincials. Stick with him!

Cranbourne Thoroughbred Bet (2pm AEST)

Fontein Lad (Race 5, No.2) has a lifetime record of 3 wins from 29 starts which isn’t flattering but he is a much better horse than that record would indicate.

He has done most of his racing in Saturday city grade so the return to BM64 level at the provincials should help him get back into the winners stall.

His two runs back from a break have been full of merit and from the good draw Jamie Mott will give him every chance in the run.

Recommended Price: $6

NRL: Melbourne v St George Illawarra (7:50pm AEST)

This shapes up as a very tough match to predict with the massive Origin representation from both sides.

Under 34.5 points looks like the best play, with an 80% chance of rain predicted for Melbourne on Thursday, and seven of the last nine games in Melbourne have failed to surpass 34 points.

The Storm don’t look as threatening in attack without Billy Slater and Cameron Munster, while the Dragons also lose an attacking option in the halves, with Ben Hunt unavailable.

Confidence Level:

Recommended Price: $1.91

Sandown Park Greyhound Bet (9:54pm AEST)

Chew The Fat (Race 8, No.3) has two victories and two seconds in his past four starts and looks very well placed tonight.

He won in good fashion at The Meadows last start, and just needs even luck from Box 3 in the early stages.

Look for him to power over the top of them late and make it back-to-back wins.

Recommended Price: $3.20
