Racing and Sports Tips – 5/1/18

bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

The Wolf’s best bet has won his last two at Canterbury and looks well placed to make it three in a row.

Canterbury Thoroughbred Bet (9:15pm)

Satirical Magic (Race 3, No,1) has won his last two at Canterbury and The Wolf is confident he’ll be able to win his third in a row here.

He’s drawn to get the gun run in barrier 2 and if he’s returned well from his short break he looks the one to beat.

Jason Collett takes the reins which enhances The Wolf’s confidence, as he was able to win on him two starts ago at Canterbury over 1100m.

Confidence Level:

Recommended Price: $4.20

Canterbury Thoroughbred Bet (7:45pm)

Atlantic Fox (Race 4, No.5) is undefeated when running third up and The Wolf expects this record to remain intact here.

He put in a very solid performance last start and managed to finish half a length off the winner.

The Wolf is confident that with two runs under his bet, his fitness should be ready to peak third up and get the job done here.

Confidence Level:

Recommended Price: $2.70

A-League: Perth v Adelaide (10pm AEDT)

Adelaide’s inability to score goals is becoming increasingly concerning.

Despite Brisbane being relegated to 10 men in the first half they had to fight tooth and nail to score a single goal.

They had a mountain of possession but it was not enough.

The Glory were embarrassed last week and The Wolf cannot see them turning things around in less than 7 days.

Wilson and Andreu were completely outplayed in central midfield and they have lacked the firepower that we have been used to seeing.

They have managed just 5 goals in their 5 home games this season and it comes after having scored multiple goals in 7 of their last 8 at nib Stadium to finish off last season.

This one will be a real arm wrestle and The Wolf will be jumping on Under 2.5 goals in this contest.

Confidence Level:

Recommended Price: $2.05

The Meadows Greyhound Bet (9:49pm AEDT)

Hit The Highway (Race 9, No.1) owns a personal best time of 34.37 and looks well placed tonight.

He loves the cherry box, with five of his 13 wins coming from Box 1.

Looks to have the class edge and will be very hard to catch if he pings the lids.

Confidence Level:

Recommended Price: $1.80
