Racing and Sports Tips – 22/2/18

bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

The Wolf’s best bet was almost a good thing beaten last start and looks too strong at the ‘Bool again today.

Warrnambool Thoroughbred Bet (6pm)

All Well (Race 5, No.1) was nearly a good thing beaten last start, being held up for the majority of the straight before Braidon Small drove him along the inside to get up and score in the last stride over this track and distance.

Realistically he should have won by two or three lengths.

The six year old should have further improvement in him off that run, and he is drawn to get the run of the race just behind the speed from barrier one.

Confidence Level:

Wagga Thoroughbred Bet (2:10pm)

Arthur Porrit (Race 2, No.2) has gone close to breaking his maiden status on several occasions but this is easily the weakest race he has contested, so today looks the day.

He comes off a last start fourth at Albury in what has proven to be a good form race and he tuned up for this with a dominant trial win at Wodonga last week.

Jake Duffy will take him straight to the front from the wide draw and there doesn’t look to be anything in the field with enough ability to run him down.

ATP Marseille: Ivashka v Wawrinka (8pm AEDT)

It is rare to see Wawrinka at this price against a man ranked around 200 in the world.

His comeback hasn’t gone according to plan with losses to Sandgren (97), Basic (129) and Griekspoor (259).

He is below his best physically but his ball striking ability is more than enough to get him past Ivashka who has won only two ATP Tour matches.

Back Wawrinka to WIN and watch the ‘Stanimal’ get his season back on track.

Recommended Price: $1.53

Sandown Park Greyhound Bet (9:58pm AEDT)

Cardamom (Race 9, No.1) romped in by 6 lengths at The Meadows last start after copping an early check.

He’ll be better suited by the Box 1 draw tonight and has an impressive record at this track/distance (10:3-4-0)

Looks very well graded here and only bad luck stops him from recording back-to-back wins.

Recommended Price: $2.40
