Racing and Sports Tips – 18/07/17

bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

Wagga Thoroughbred Bet (2:55pm AEST)

Greipel (Race 5, No.1) has a class edge over his rivals here and looks the winner if he brings his best form.

That class is reflected by his handicapped weight of 63Kg, but this comes down to 59Kg with the claim for Josh Richards.

Although Richards is inexperienced the horse has won for claiming apprentices on several occasions.

He showed he was up to this with a solid recent trial, and with outstanding records at the track (3/10, with 4 placings), distance (4/8) and on heavy going (4/7) anything close to his best form will see him back in the winner’s stall.

MLB: Tampa Bay Rays @ Oakland Athletics (12:05pm)

Tampa Bay are surprisingly second in the AL East and they need to win these games.

They won two of three against the Angels and have won four of their last five games.

Jake Odorizzi is their starter for this game and he has a 5-4 record this year.

He’s been unlucky in his last two career starts at Oakland with two no-decisions.

The last start was in 2016 and he pitched 8 scoreless innings.

However, this season he has allowed a home run in 15 of his 16 starts.

For the Athletics, they swept the Indians at home and have won five straight home games.

Their starter is Daniel Gossett and he’s also struggling with the long ball.

He’s allowed 8 home runs in 6 starts and he has a 5.40 ERA at home.

The Wolf can see a high scoring game and in the last four meetings, the total averages 11.5 runs.

The last two have finished on exactly nine runs and he thinks both pitchers will struggle here.

To top it off, the last 7 games with Odorizzi on the mound are 7-0 against the over total.

Back the over 9 total game score.

Warragul Greyhound Bet (7:42pm AEST)

Amelia Christa (Race 4, No.8) has a great record at the track, winning three of her four starts and finishing third in her other run here.

She’ll look to burn across from Box 8 and shouldn’t have too many problems, with the slow beginner Paddles Anderson drawn to her inside.

She’s been ultra-consistent of late and will be hard to beat if she can avoid trouble at the first turn.

Recommended Price: $2.80

Albion Park Harness Bet (4:13pm AEST)

Divas Delight (Race 6, No.1) was in brilliant form this time last year, winning at this track twice in 1.54 for the 2138 metre trip when leading throughout.

Today from the pole he should have enough speed to hold the front and over the mile should be capable of running very fast time.

The favourite is likely to race outside him which should put pay to his chances.

Recommended Price: $3
