Racing and Sports Tips – 16/2/18

bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

The Wolf’s best bet has won her last two starts and will give them something to chase at Canterbury tonight.

Canterbury Thoroughbred Bet (8:45pm)

Allez Bien (Race 6, No.1) has won her last two starts and The Wolf is expecting her to notch up her third win in a row here.

She’s a mare in form and The Wolf was very impressed with her last two wins at Gosford and then in town at Randwick.

Stepping up to 1900m is an unknown but the manner of her last two wins suggest to The Wolf that it won’t be an issue.

She’ll lead again here and give them something to run down.

Sunshine Coast Thoroughbred Bet (9:23pm)

Rebel Saga (Race 5, No.1) won very well on debut at Ipswich last start by over two lengths, and with luck should be able to replicate that run here.

She sat outside the leader that day before taking over at the 300m to score.

He’s drawn well in barrier 6 where Michael Cahill should look to settle him behind the leaders before giving chase in the straight.

5th T20: New Zealand v Australia (5pm AEDT)

New Zealand can secure their spot in the Tri-Series Final with a win over the unbeaten Australian side here.

The Kiwis defeated England by 12 runs to record their first win of the tri-series and kept England winless in the process.

Meanwhile, Australia can play with very little pressure here after securing their place in Wednesday’s final.

The final will also be played at Eden Park, so David Warner’s men will be treating this as a dress rehearsal.

New Zealand have lost their last three T20I matches at Eden Park, and five of their last seven T20I matches at the venue.

The Kiwis lost a T20I to Pakistan by 48 runs at Eden Park as recent as January.

Pakistan batted first and posted an imposing total of 4/201, while New Zealand was bowled out for 153.

The Wolf thinks a carefree Australian side could be very dangerous here, especially with the strength and depth of their batting line-up.

If Pakistan could post 201 on this wicket, Australia could post a very big score and prove very hard to beat!

Traralgon Greyhound Bet (10:12pm AEDT)

Josie Rumble (Race 10, No.2) is three from three at the track/distance, and was a brilliant winner at Traralgon last week.

She should be able to take up a good position out of Box 2 and looks well placed to go back to back.

Classy type who should be ‘rumbling’ home!
