Racing and Sports Tips – 14/2/18

bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

The Wolf is hoping for an ‘epic’ performance at Sandown today.

Sandown Thoroughbred Bet (6pm)

Epic Moment (Race 5, No.6) placed at Caulfield last start and The Wolf is confident he’ll be able to go one better here.

He flew out to lead last start and gave a good kick, however he was run down in the final stages by Runson.

He meets Runson 5kg better for this and from the inside barrier should get every chance to reverse last start’s result.

Confidence Level:

Recommend Price: $2.90

Warwick Farm Thoroughbred Bet (1:35pm)

Mazaz (Race 4, No.10) was narrowly beaten at Randwick last start by under half a length and if he brings his best form here he’ll take running down.

He closed well last start in his return to racing in Sydney and off that looks the clear top pick to win here.

He’s very well drawn in barrier 2 where Avdulla should look to settle him midfield with cover before peeling out in the straight to give chase.

Confidence Level:

Recommend Price: $3.70

NBA: Houston @ Minnesota (12:05pm AEDT)

The Rockets current win streak stands at 8 but they face a genuine test in Minnesota.

The Timberwolves have the second best home record in the NBA (23-6) and are a very impressive 10-1 ATS in their last 11 at home.

Houston has dominated this series with wins in 9 of the last 10 with scoring being the feature of their matches.

The Over is 12-2 in the last 14 meetings and that trend looks set to continue.

The Over is 5-0 in the Timberwolves last 5 and 9-2 in their last 11 when facing teams with a winning record.

Houston and Minnesota rank 1st and 3rd respectively in terms of offensive efficiency with the Timberwolves claiming top spot with respect to floor percentage.

With names like Harden, CP3, Towns and Butler on the floor there will be no stopping either side on the offensive end, making Over 222 points the play here.

Confidence Level:

Recommended Price: $1.91

Cranbourne Greyhound Bet (8:31pm AEDT)

Penny Worth (Race 6, No.2) is flying of late, with two wins and two minor placings in his last four starts.

He won out of Box 2 at Warrnambool two starts back and will be hoping for a repeat performance here.

He’ll prove hard to catch if he jumps cleanly.

Confidence Level:

Recommended Price: $2.60
