Racing and Sports Tips – 13/1/18

bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

The Wolf’s best bet smashed his rivals in the Phelan Ready Stakes and only has to overcome the awkward draw to salute in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic.

Gold Coast Thoroughbred Bet (4:55pm)

Ef Troop (Race 8, No.2) demolished his rivals last start in the Listed Phelan Ready Stakes and The Wolf is predicting a similar performance from him here.

He flew out to lead that day at Doomben and ended up winning by over five lengths in a very impressive manner.

He’s drawn wide here which appears a concern, but this son of Spirit Of Boom has all the gate speed necessary to be able to cross, lead and prove very hard to catch just as Houtzen did last year from the wide draw.

Randwick Thoroughbred Bet (2:05pm)

Richard Of Yorke (Race 3, No.2) cost himself the race last start by laying in throughout the race and had he not done that he arguably would have won.

Upon straightening for home he continued to shift to the inside whereby the rider Tye Angland had difficulty straightening him, however after improving and switching to the right hand the gelding made improvement on the leader Cordero and nearly could have won.

Mathew Cahill makes the trek up from Southern New South Wales which is a significant booking; as his last two rides for Chris Waller have produced one win and one placing, the win coming in the Group 3 Summer Cup aboard Montauk.

The key booking of Cahill indicates to The Wolf that Richard Of Yorke is ready to win and he is confident that he’ll be turning the tables on Cordero.

A-League: Wellington v Western Sydney (5:35pm AEDT)

The Phoenix won their second match of the season but The Wolf is not giving them any credit for it.

Rhys Williams was sent off in the 8th minute but it didn’t stop a 10 man Victory side from taking the lead.

The Nix eventually got back on level terms and claimed a late winner but they hardly dominated.

Meanwhile the Wanderers should have made it 4 wins in their last 5 but conceded late against Adelaide.

The Wanderers have 3 wins and a draw in the last 4 meetings between the two sides with at least 4 goals in 4 of the last 5 clashes.

It has rained goals at Westpac Stadium this season and most of them have come from the visiting sides.

There have been a total of 31 goals in Wellington’s last 6 home games at a rate of more than 5 per game!

Over 3.5 goals is The Wolf’s recommended play here.

Warragul Greyhound Bet (9:37pm AEDT)

Aston Miley (Race 8, No.8) is coming off a last start win at the track/distance and looks well placed to go back-to-back.

She’ll need to overcome the superstar Aston Dee Bee in Box 5, but The Wolf is banking on him getting a checked passage.

Astom Milley is two from two over the 460 metres here and will prove hard to reel in if she can ping across from the wide draw.
