Racing and Sports Tips – 11/1/18

bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

The Wolf’s best bet made a nice debut at Seymour and looks well placed to record his first career win at Geelong today.

Geelong Thoroughbred Bet (2:30pm)

You Got It (Race 3, No.6) made a nice debut recently at Seymour and can break through for his first career win here at Geelong.

From the Leon and Troy Corstens stable at Flemington, he finished fourth on debut behind Shalloti who confirmed the form by winning at his next start.

His pedigree suggests that he will appreciate the extra trip and with Jamie Mott in the saddle, he should have every chance from the good draw.

Gosford Thoroughbred Bet (2:25pm)

New Horizons (Race 2, No.4) is a well-travelled galloper being a Japanese bred son of Frankel.

He has shown good ability and gets his chance to break through today.

Formerly trained by Darren Weir at Ballarat, he was sent out $1.70 on debut at Sandown but didn’t quite live up to expectations.

Now with John O’Shea in Sydney, he looks as if he will appreciate the further distance he gets today and can break through for an overdue win.

BBL: Thunder v Scorchers (7:40pm AEDT)

The Sydney Thunder will play an important game against the Perth Scorchers who are back atop the league table after beating the Melbourne Renegades in their last game.

The Thunder have had a rough time in this BBL and been inconsistent while the Perth Scorchers have been defying convention and continuing to win with most of their frontline batsmen missing.

The Scorchers hold a 5-1 advantage over the Thunder in historical matchups.

Only one of those matches has been played at the Sydney Showground Stadium which the Scorchers won.

The Scorchers may have a relatively weak batting order but it is still performing better than the Thunder unit.

Usman Khawaja will help balance things for the Thunder but the Wolf would like to see him in a match before jumping to conclusions about his T20 form.

The bowling for both teams is strong but if the Wolf were to pick one then it would again be the Scorchers.

Stick with favorites.

Sandown Park Greyhound Bet (10:38pm AEDT)

Hillside Lady (Race 11, No.1) is racing in great form, winning two of her last three starts.

She’ll get all of the favours from Box 1 and is a winner at the track/distance.

Looks a smart one who should prove hard to run down from the gun draw.

Recommended Price: $2.10
