Racing and Sports Tips – 1/12/17

bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

The Wolf’s best bet is three from three when first-up and looks hard to beat out of the Hayes/Dabernig stable.

Moonee Valley Thoroughbred Bet (8:30pm AEDT)

Magnetar (Race 5, No.2) is a Hayes/Dabernig trained galloper who is 3/3 when running first up and looks well placed to keep that record in tact here.

He’s since trialled very well at Benalla where he extended away by half a length.

He should get a nice trail behind the speed for this and The Wolf is confident he’ll be able to take control late in the race to win.

Recommended Price: $5

Moonee Valley Thoroughbred Bet (10pm AEDT)

Emaan (Race 8, No.13) was a dominant maiden winner at Geelong last start who is more than capable of stepping up to city grade here.

Last start she flew out to lead and was never headed from there, making every post a winner and going on to score by over two lengths.

Expect she’ll lead again here and on a track that generally favours those on speed should see her proving very difficult to run down.

Confidence Level:

Recommended Price: $4

NFL: Washington @ Dallas (12:25pm AEDT)

Both the Cowboys and the Redskins have a 5-6 record and would be considered an outside chance of NFC Wildcard berth.

It would surely spell the end of any playoff hopes for the loser here.

The Cowboys will be missing influential linebacker Sean Lee once again, while it looks like Zack Martin will clear the concussion protocol to take his spot against the Redskins.

The Redskins will be sweating on the fitness of Trent Williams as he battles a knee injury.

Reports suggest he will be a game-time decision.

The Cowboys won the Week 8 clash in Washington 33-19, but will be without running back Ezekiel Elliott, who carved up that day, rushing for 150 yards and two touchdowns.

The Wolf is happy to play Over 45.5 points here, with both sides dealing with injuries and players unlikely to be 100% fit if they’re active.

The overs has also landed in five of the last six meetings between the sides.

Confidence Level:

Recommended Price: $1.91

Traralgon Greyhound Bet (9:54pm AEDT)

Josie Rumble (Race 9, No.7) is flying of late, winning five of her last seven starts.

She’s won and finished second at two starts at the track/distance and will relish the wide draw here.

Hard to knock her while she’s racing in career best form.

Confidence Level:

Recommended Price: $3.40
