Racing and Sports Tips – 24/08/16

bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

Warwick Farm Thoroughbred Bet (1:45pm AEST)

Royal Navy (Race 1, No.3) is banging down the door to win a maiden.

This three-year-old Fastnet Rock colt is in one of the most astute yards in the country and as The Wolf has come to expect from the Snowdens, he has been perfectly placed here over the mile. His last start third behind promising filly Sezanne was fantastic as he was shuffled back at a critical stage. There’s a case to be made that he should have won.

Kerrin McEvoy maintains the ride and he’ll be very keen to avoid making the same mistake twice.

Confidence Level: 4-5-Chips

Recommended Price: $2.60

Redcliffe Harness Bet (7:22pm AEST)

Certainlywillbe (Race 5, No.2) won well last start and showed brilliant gate speed.

From gate three he managed to break two minutes over the longer trip.

Tonight the Wolf expects him to be leading from gate two and over the sprint trip he will be very hard to catch.

Confidence Level: 4-Chips

Recommended Price: $2.50

Cranbourne Greyhound Bet (9:51pm AEST)

Space Emm (Race 10, No.1) will be tough to run down here.

This son of Kilty Lad is as reliable a beginner as the sun rising in the morning. He’s drawn to advantage in Box 1 and doubt his rivals will be able to reel him in.

Loves this track and trip too (3:1-1-1).

Confidence Level: 4-Chips

Recommended Price: $2.80

MLB: Detroit Tigers v Minnesota Twins (10:12am AEST)

The Wolf has a feeling the Twins bats will wake up in this one and squeeze by the 4.5 run total that’s on offer.

Picking a winner here won’t be easy as both sides are struggling but there is some trends on both sides that point to an overs bet. It is 5-1-1 in Sanchez’s last 7 road starts and 4-1-2 in his last 7 road starts vs teams with losing records.

On the other side, Minnesota over is 5-1 in their last 6 home games vs RH starters and 4-0 in Gibson’s last 4 starts overall.

Confidence Level: 3-5-Chips

Recommended Price: $1.95
