Racing and Sports Tips – 21/08/16

bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

Nowra Thoroughbred Bet (3:10pm AEST)

Love Me Baby (Race 4, No.5) looks a city-class filly so should win again in this company.

One debut she bolted in a Canberra and John Sargent gave her a little freshen, presumably with spring in mind given she has a Thousand Guineas nomination. She has trialled up very nicely at Randwick since.

Expect her to win again. And just as comfortably.

Confidence Level: 5-Chips

Recommended Price: $2

Dubbo Harness Bet (2:33pm AEST)

Allnight Mlady (Race 3, No.2) is not a tough filly but she looks the leader and this field is not very strong.

Every dog has his day and over the sprint trip here, The Wolf thinks she should be able to hold on for us.

Confidence Level: 3-5-Chips

Recommended Price: $2.50

Sale Greyhound Bet (8:10pm AEST)

Off The Hip (Race 9, No.1) bounced back to form last start.

It’d been a little while between drinks for this chaser before he won well this track and trip last week.

His record is strong from the inside draw (11:4-0-3).

Confidence Level: 4-Chips

Recommended Price: $1.80

AFL: Melbourne v Carlton (1:10pm AEST)

Carlton would love to find a win before season’s end, but Melbourne are finishing the season hard. Melbourne -22.5 is the bet.

Carlton have now lost nine in a row and they were extremely poor against Brisbane last week. Melbourne on the other hand have won three in a row for the first time in a decade, just reward for four weeks of good form which kicked off with a six point loss to West Coast in Perth.

Carlton, well below their best in the last two weeks, are there for the taking. Melbourne are a much better side than Carlton, in much better form, and have the Blues covered in every part of the ground.

Confidence Level: 4-Chips

Recommended Price: $1.91
