Racing and Sports Tips – 19/08/16

bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

Taree Thoroughbred Bet (4:20pm AEST)

No Bad Blood (Race 7, No.7) looks very nicely placed here at Taree.

This eight-year-old has been knocking around in town at his three runs this campaign. He has carried 57.5kg, 60kg and 59.5kg in those efforts. He drops back to 54kg for this in an open handicap on a Friday.

Should roll forward and give a great sight.

Confidence Level: 4-Chips

Recommended Price: $3.40

Gloucester Park Harness Bet (8:24pm AEST)

Risk (Race 3, No.2) was a very good winner first-up in the country fresh from New Zealand.

Tonight from gate two he looks very hard to beat.  The Wolf expects him to work to the lead and on his win at Northam this colt looks well above average.

Confidence Level: 4-Chips

Recommended Price: $3

Traralgon Greyhound Bet (7:38pm AEST)

Black Paws (Race 3, No.1) is a very promising chaser.

This son of Paw Licking has hit the ground running in his career with three wins from four starts. He was brilliant winning last start over this track and trip.

He’ll be skinny odds but should win again.

Confidence Level: 4-Chips

Recommended Price: $1.90

AFL: Eagles v Hawks (8:10pm AEST)

Hawthorn have more at stake given a loss will see them lose their grip on top two spot, while even a West Coast win still makes top four an unlikely proposition.

That extra mental edge should see them get up in a close one, as they’ve done previously this year.

Psychology will be at play in this one, given the Hawks strong record against West Coast in recent times, and the maulings they handed out in last year’s grand final, and the re-match in Round 2 this season.

Confidence Level: 4-Chips

Recommended Price: $1.94
