Racing and Sports Tips – 17/08/16

bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

Canterbury Thoroughbred Bet (2:15pm AEST)

Tower Of Song (Race 2, No.2) really caught the eye first-up at Rosehill.

This five-year-old in the Snowden yard only trialled fairly but The Wolf loved the way he worked to the line to run second behind the flying Super Tycoon. He was beaten a space but it was still a terrific run.

He has won over the Canterbury 1550m in the past and gets the services of Blake Shinn. Weak field and everything points to a win.

Confidence Level: 4-Chips

Recommended Price: $2.20

Redcliffe Harness Bet (6:50pm AEST)

Living Grand (Race 4, No.1) has good gate speed but just hadn’t drawn close enough to lead until tonight.

He has raced from outside the leader his past six starts and tonight from the pole The Wolf expects him to be leading and he should go very close to winning.

Confidence Level: 3-5-Chips

Recommended Price: $4

Cranbourne Greyhound Bet (7:48pm AEST)

Spelling Misteak (Race 4, No.1) has made a promising start to his career.

His biggest asset is his professionalism at the moment. He’ll bounce to the front from the inside gate and make the running.

Unlikely to win by a space but extremely likely to record win number three from four starts.

Confidence Level: 4-Chips

Recommended Price: $2.60

Olympics: Women's Athletics - 1500m Final (11:30am AEST)

It’s hard to go past world record holder and world champion Genzebe Dibaba in the 1500m especially after her impressive semi-final win in a time of 4:03.06.

She recorded a world record time of 3:50.07 in Monaco in July 2015 and will be hard to beat in the final.

Confidence Level: 4-Chips

Recommended Price: $2
