Racing and Sports Tips – 7/12/17

bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

The Wolf’s best bet broke his maiden at Geelong on Sunday and can win again on the quick back up.

Kyneton Thoroughbred Bet (3pm AEDT)

Arrochar (Race 5, No.1) broke his maiden at Geelong on Sunday and he can win his next race today at Kyneton on the quick back up.

He beat Mussoorie Magic last start, a gelding of considerable promise from the Weir yard, and was easily holding him on the line suggesting the extra trip here suits.

Harry Grace – who rode him last start – retains the ride and he can be expected to roll forward once again and be impossible to run down at a track that favours on pace runners.

Confidence Level:

Recommended Price: $3.40

Gosford Thoroughbred Bet (2:35pm AEDT)

Goresbridge (Race 3, No.1) has shown ample ability in his three start career and looks well placed to win first up here at Gosford.

Last campaign he broke his maiden in effortless style at his second career start, winning by several lengths in a performance that had the hallmarks of a future Saturday class horse.

He was disappointing subsequent to that, but he has had a spell and his recent trial indicated that he is ready to go on with it this campaign.

Recommended Price: $3

UCL: Liverpool v Spartak Moscow (6:45am AEDT)

The Reds should be home and hosed in Group E but a loss is likely to see them fail to qualify.

They only have themselves to blame after blowing a 3 goal lead away to Sevilla on Matchday 5.

History suggests that Spartak will give themselves every chance.

Liverpool’s clean sheet against Maribor was their first at Anfield in this competition in 8 games and The Wolf cannot see them maintaining another clean sheet.

Spartak have scored at least once in 12 of their last 13 UCL fixtures (including qualifying rounds) and we all know that Liverpool have been conceding at the rate of knots.

Sevilla will take care of business against Maribor and that means that Liverpool will have to win this match in order to top the group.

Spartak have to go for it which will play right into Liverpool’s hands.

Klopp loves to utilise his side’s pace on the counter and they will get ample opportunities to do so.

The over 3.5 goals is as good a bet as we will get in the UCL this week.

Recommended Price: $2.10

Sandown Park Greyhound Bet (7:49pm AEDT)

Hasten Slowly (Race 3, No.6) has an outstanding record at the track/distance, with three wins and a placing from five career starts here over 515 metres.

He’ll be quick to ping the lids and will aim to take up the running here.

Trained by the successful Angela Langton and should prove hard to beat tonight.

Recommended Price: $2.90
