Racing and Sports Tips – 06/08/16

bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

Flemington Thoroughbred Bet (12:40pm AEST)

Decorated Soldier (Race 2, No.5) has been mixing it with some very handy youngsters in Sydney.

This three-year-old in the powerful Snowden stable won convincingly on debut at the provincials before finishing fourth at Canterbury behind Tango Rain, Thronum and Hair Trigger. He run there suggested he wants 1400m and a big track now. Gets both of those things at Flemington.

The Snowdens are brilliant at placing their horses and looks to have found a perfect assignment for this colt. It looks a pretty ordinary bunch of Victorians.

Confidence Level: 4-Chips

Recommended Price: $4

Ballarat Harness Bet (9pm AEST)

Jilliby Jagger (Race 6, No.5) has the barrier draw advantage over his main rival in this event.

That should see him be able to spear across straight to the lead and it will take a super horse to run him down.

Will be winning.

Confidence Level: 4-5-Chips

Recommended Price: $2

Warrnambool Greyhound Bet (7:32pm AEST)

Bearville Azza (Race 8, No.8) is ready to go bang at the ‘Bool.

This talented chaser has been working his way back into form and after a string of placings, looks set to return to the winners’ stall.

He does some of his best work from Box 8 (5:2-2-1) so that’s no issue here.

Confidence Level: 4-Chips

Recommended Price: $2.50

NRL: Sharks v Raiders (5:30pm)

The Sharks look ripe for the picking this week and the Raiders are just the team to do it. Canberra +5.5 is the bet.

Cronulla have been up for a long time and will likely be without a couple of key players. The Raiders have arguably – at least statistically – been the best team over the last two months. The Raiders are good as road dogs while the Sharks have not put away other good teams.

The upset is on.

Confidence Level: 5-Chips

Recommended Price: $2
