Racing and Sports Tips – 04/08/16

bet on racing and sports

Here are The Wolf’s best racing and sports tips!

Warrnambool Thoroughbred Bet (4pm AEST)

Act Of Valour (Race 7, No.2) kicks off his career under Darren Weir today.

This five-year-old flies fresh (3:1-1-1) and handles the wet with a record of 3:2-0-1. So often Weir gets these tried horses to find their best form, and if he brings that, he should be too classy for these.

Like that he resumes at the ‘Bool too.

Confidence Level: 3-5-Chips

Recommended Price: $2.50

Mildura Harness Bet (6:30pm AEST)

Artistic Claire (Race 1, No.8) is a mare that always races for luck but last start she was put into the race and was narrowly beaten.

Tonight over the sprint trip The Wolf thinks they will make a mid race move again and she should be hard to hold out at big each-way odds.

Confidence Level: 3-5-Chips

Recommended Price: $10

Warrnambool Greyhound Bet (9:50pm AEST)

Ella Rhode (Race 7, No.1) has struck a purple patch and The Wolf is cashing in.

This daughter of Jarvis Bale has won two straight, both in handy time.

Thanks Cheryl (Box 3) is capable of motoring early too but with the inside advantage, expect Ella Rhode to hold her out.

Confidence Level: 4-Chips

Recommended Price: $2.80

NRL: St George v Brisbane (7:50pm)

The Saints are a fairly resolute defensive side and can keep this close against a Broncos team well down on confidence. St George Illawarra +12 is the bet.

The Saints are not a great team and have some big outs with Tyson Frizell ridiculously sidelined but the betting in this seems completely out of whack considering how poor the Broncos have been of late.

Since Round 11 Brisbane have been the worst defensive side in the premiership with the exception of Newcastle. Home underdogs getting a big start are usually a good bet and particularly so when Brisbane is the road favourite.

Confidence Level: 4-Chips

Recommended Price: $1.91
