Gold Heist (Race 5, No.3) should be winning now Danuki is scratched.
This gelding was good and sound in heavy conditions at Moe last time out, just peaking on her run late. She was 70 days between runs there. What is also in her favour is the drop back to 1013m from 1113m.
Gets in nicely after the claim of Stockdale. Her race to lose.
The last time the Giants went on the road they stumbled through it on their way to a 1-7 record. After a short stint at home, they go back on the road now and will face the Phillies in the first game of the series Wednesday. The just bolstered their pitching stocks in attempt to hold on to that lead in the NL West and the all-important run to the postseason. It come at a big cost though as they had to give up some really good prospects to get the deals over the line.
Madison Bumgarner (10-6, 2.09 ERA) will start for the Giants and has suffered from a lack of run support in recent starts. He’s managed a loss and a no decision in his last two, despite only giving up three runs total. The Phillies will send Zach Eflin (3-4, 4.23 ERA) to the mound after allowing seven runs in five innings last start to Miami. It was by far his worst start this season with his control letting him down.
