NBA: Warriors @ Cavs – Game 7 (Tue 11:05am)

Who will meet the Cavs in the NBA Finals…

The Warriors have opened 6 point favourites on the road for the series decider and it comes on the back of their second half performance in Game 6. Houston were up by 17 at the first break after a 39 points opening quarter and remained up 10 at the half.

What happened next….

Golden State decided to play some defence! The Warriors held the Rockets to just 25 total points in the second half while the Splash Brothers put on a shooting clinic. Curry and Klay combined for 14 made 3-pointers and 64 points. It was raining from all corners of the court with the final margin coming in at 29 points.

Where will Game 7 be won and lost…

Ball movement! The Warriors had 26 assists compared to just 13 for the Rockets in Game 6. With no CP3 on the court we saw far too much isolation basketball from the Rockets. He has been listed as a game time decision for the series decider but it is hard to see him recovering from a hamstring strain in a matter of days. If he fails to take the court it is hard to see the Rockets getting their role players involved enough to have an affect on the outcome. The Wolf would again like to emphasise that the Warriors must keep a lid on the turnovers. It is Game 7 after all, so they should be completely locked in.

Can I get a best bet…

UNDERS! The Under is 5-1 in the series and the average total for the last 4 games has been just 198ppg. That is more that 10 points below the set total and as we saw in Boston yesterday, Game 7 is all about defence. Under is 6-1 in Warriors last 7 when on 1 days rest, 16-7 in Rockets last 23 at home and 7-2 in the last 9 meetings between them in Houston.

Who will go off…

Harden score 38% of his sides points in Game 6 and will CP3 set to miss out through injury he will again have to shoulder the bulk of the scoring. We will never forget his no-show against the Spurs last year and you can be certain that he will not allow for a repeat. He will put up an immense volume of shots and you can pencil him in for 10 points from free throws alone. The Wolf also expects the big men to collect a significant amount of uncontested rebounds with both teams looking to prevent fastbreak opportunities. That means we will again be taking Draymond to pull town a stack of boards.

Warriors or Rockets…

Warriors. They will be completely locked in defensively in Game 7 and that will be the difference. We will get the 4th installment of Warriors/Cavs in the NBA Finals.

Wolf’s NBA Playoffs Best Bet Record: 35-31
