NBA: Cavs @ Celtics – Game 5 (Thur 10:35am)

Home court has reigned supreme throughout this series and there is no reason why Game 5 will be any different. The home side is 4-0 both straight up and ATS in this series – with some significant margins of victory. The average margin of victory in this series is 14.25 points, astronomical when you consider that two of the games have started as a flip.

The writing was on the wall for the Cavs after they went down 0-2 but LeBron has single-handedly tied the series. He has two games of 40+ points in the series with his efficiency off the charts. He shot in excess of 60% from the floor in the two games in Cleveland but that will change in the TD Garden where he was held to just 47% and 62% from the stripe.

We have seen the role players from both sides produce far more at home than on the road. The Wolf expects Rozier, Smart, Ojeleye and Baynes to contribute far more at home – and not just statistically. There is a different energy when playing on your own court and it is the reason why the Celtics are a perfect 9-0 at home in the playoffs.

Celtics are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 following a ATS loss and 18-6 ATS in their last 24 at home. They have been disrespected more than once in the playoffs at home and we will not be making that mistake again. The Wolf is shocked to see them installed as underdogs! Earlier in the series The Wolf said that LeBron could get 40 and the Cavs still lose… it happened and he thinks that history will repeat itself.

The King does not want to return to the TD Garden for a potential Game 7 and that means he will take matters into his own hands – something that has been happening throughout the entire season. LeBron to get 40 but the Celtics to take a very important 3-2 series lead. We will be back in the TD Garden for a Game 7.

Wolf’s NBA Playoffs Best Bet Record: 31-30
