East Finals Game 2: Cleveland @ Boston (Wed 10:35am)

The bookies are finally giving the Celtics the respect they deserve but The Wolf says they are still heavily underrated in the market. They dominated Game 1 from the opening tip, with their team effort defending LeBron a real feature. We saw them employ the double team throughout but it didn’t end there. Brown, Tatum, Morris, Smart and Horford did a fantastic job with their individual one-on-one defence while for the Cavs, it was anything but. LeBron had 7 turnovers, they shot 4 of 26 from beyond the arc and Kevin Love was comprehensively outplayed by Horford.

Where to for Cleveland in Game 2….

Where else – ‘The King’. There was no panic from LeBron in his post match press conference and if his performances in the playoffs are anything to go by, he will be flicking the switch. The Cavs were comprehensively beat in Game 1 against the Pacers and LeBron’s response was 46 points and 12 rebounds. In Game 1 against the Raptors he shot 12 of 30 and his side got away with one to win by a point. He backed that up with 43 points and 14 assists. One thing is for certain in Game 2 – LeBron will be going BIG!

Does that mean the Cavs are a lock for Game 2….

No, according to The Wolf. The Celtics are 14-4 ATS in their last 16 at home and remain undefeated at home in the playoffs (8-0). The Celtics dominated Game 1 in the half court and The Wolf says that the Cavs will respond to that by looking the speed up the tempo. This will prevent Boston from playing Horford, Baynes and Morris at the same time. It makes for a significant change in game flow and The Wolf has labelled the Overs as a special!

The Over is 4-0 in the Cavs last 4 following a ATS loss and 5-1 in their last 6 when on 1 days rest. It lines up perfectly with the Celtics trends in this spot. Over is 10-1 in the Celtics last 11 following a double digit win and 10-2 in their last 12 games at the TD Garden. The Wolf is shocked that the total will start lower than in Game 1. Overs!
