Eastern Conference Finals Game 4

1. Boston @ Cleveland (10:35am)

Tip: 1st Quarter Cleveland -6 ($1.91)

There is a reason why The Wolf has been tipping us into 1st half line markets… COMPLACENCY! The Cavs collapse in the second half of Game 3 was simply inexcusable. As a result the Cavs can say goodbye to the series sweep and they will now have to travel back to Boston while the Warriors sit back and relax.

They led by as many as 21 in the 3rd quarter but the Celtics were able to cut into the lead on the back of some great hustle plays and a barrage of three pointers – 7 of which came courtesy of Marcus Smart. LeBron went ice cold with just 11 points, but most interestingly, he failed to score a single point in the final 16 minutes. It was one of the worst postseason games of his career and The Wolf is expecting him to come out with cruel intentions in Game 4. He could have 15 points at the end of the 1st quarter! Cleveland are 4-0 ATS for the first half and 3-0 ATS in the last 3 first quarters with double digit leads across the board.

We should see a more confident Celtics outfit following the win and with more belief things could get interesting… The Wolf feels that the loss is a wake up call that could help the Cavs refocus after completely destroying the Eastern Conference thus far. There were signs even early on that they were overplaying their hand and almost getting too cute with some of their passes. If they are to challenge the Warriors they will have to stick to the game plan and execute 100% of the time. That series starts now for them.

Boston were able to generate a lot more on offence in Game 3 and The Wolf expects that to continue. We saw them run the floor more regularly and the higher tempo resulted in better looks. They shot 45% from beyond the arc as a result and the Over again shapes as a great bet. The Over is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings in Cleveland, 18-7-1 in the Cavs last 26 home game and 21-7 in the Cavs 28 following a loss. The Cavs will get off to a fast start and the Celtics will have to score the ball at a rapid rate if they are to run them down.
