NBA Tips – 9th February

The Warriors have now lost 3 of their last 4. Is this just a speed bump or have they opened the door for their rivals to grow in confidence… They will not get a better chance to get back in the winner’s circle than at home to a Mavs side that has lost 6 of it’s last 7.

NBA Feature Previews

1. Atlanta @ Orlando (11:05am)
Orlando have been grossly underrated in the betting market and it comes due to the absence of Vucevic and Gordon. It hasn’t stopped them from getting results though. They have won 3 of their last 4 and are a money making 8-2 ATS in their last 10. They have wins in Boston and Miami to go with the eye opening come from behind win over the Cavs. The Hawks on the other hand are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 against conference opponents and The Wolf is not buying into their recent wins over two decimated sides – the Grizzlies and Knicks. With Payton traded to the Suns look for Fournier to fill it up. Give me some of the Magic says The Wolf.
Tip: Orlando +1 ($1.92)

2. Boston @ Washington (12:05pm)
The Wizards win streak without John Wall ended at 5 in Philly but they return home where they have won 10 of their last 13. Their scoring has gone through the roof since Wall went down on the back of some much improved ball movement and the additional involvement of role players. The Over is 4-0 in their last 4 following a ATS loss, 6-1 in their last 7 against East teams and 8-0-1 in their last 9 following a loss. The Wizards almost always bounce back from a loss by upping the tempo and running the floor. The Wof says not to be fooled into thinking that the Celtics will not go with them. Over is 4-0 in Celtics last 4 following a double digit loss and the absence of Marcus Smart means one less defender to slow down Bradley Beal.
Tip: Over 206 points ($1.91)

3. Charlotte @ Portland (2:05pm)
Portland will be glad that they are back home after going 0-3 both straight up and ATS in a recent 3 game road trip. They are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games at home and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 when taking on teams with a losing record. Most importantly, they host a side that does not enjoy making the trip to the Rip City. The Blazers are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 meetings in Portland which will only be compounded by the fact that the Hornets have the 3rd worst ATS record for road games, going 8-12-4 ATS this season away from home. Kemba Walker is averaging just 17.4ppg in his last 5 against the Blazers and if he cannot get to 25+, they will not go close to competing. Blazers!
Tip: Portland -3.5 ($1.92)
