NBA Tips – 9th December

Curry or no Curry the Warriors are still hot and The Wolf has them rolling their way past the Pistons. Meanwhile the Celtics face a stern test when they travel to Texas to face the Spurs.

1. Dallas @ Milwaukee (12:05pm)

The Mavs may have won 2 of their last 3 but both those victories came at home. On the road it has been a very different story. They are just 2-8 on the road this season and will need to pull a rabbit out of the hat if they are to win in Milwaukee. The Bucks are finally starting to develop an identity with Bledsoe at the point. They have won 5 of their last 7 and have been far more efficient on offence. The bookies are yet to adjust to their faster tempo and we have seen the Over go 5-1-1 in that stretch as a result. With Kiebler and Nowitzki set to start in the paint The Wolf says that Giannis will absolutely carve them up. He had a season high 17 rebounds when they met a month ago and will again fill up the stat sheet. The Bucks have close to a 20 point advantage in terms of starter points so look for them to come charging out of the blocks.

Tip: Milwaukee -6 ($1.92)

2. Toronto @ Memphis (12:05pm)

Toronto have been torching teams at Air Canada Centre but their numbers are well down on the road. They average 8ppg less on the road and tend to really play down to the level of their opponent when travelling. The Under is 6-0 in the Raptors last 6 road games against teams with a losing record at home and 27-11 in their last 38 road games. The Under hits at over 71% of their road games and that is a huge figure over a span of close to 12 months. The Under is also 6-0 in the Grizzlies last 6 at home and 8-1 in their last 9 against teams with a win % above .600. Then there is the fact that the Under is 27-7 in the last 34 meetings and 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Memphis. We won’t get a bigger statistical advantage for a totals bet all week!

Tip: Under 202 points ($1.91)

3. Boston @ San Antonio (1:35pm)

Two of the great basketball minds collide as Pop and the Spurs host Brad Stevens and the best record in the NBA. The Celtics have been nothing short of phenomenal but The Wolf warns against disrespecting the Spurs at home. They are 12-2 at the AT&T Center (9-4-1 ATS) with the Warriors and Bucks the only two sides to exit the building with a win this season. The initial though is that we are in store for a tactical/defensive battle but The Wolf says that the statistics indicate otherwise. The Over is 6-0 in the Celtics last 6 road games and 6-1 in the Spurs last 7 at home when hosting teams with a winning road record. San Antonio is averaging 108ppg in it’s last 4 at home and continue to get contributions across the board as per usual. The Wolf says coach Pop will have plenty of secrets up his sleeve and has the master taking down the apprentice.

Tip: Over 197 points ($1.77)
