NBA Tips – 8th November

Another Cavs loss was overshadowed by one of the performances of the year with James Harden destroying the Jazz with 56 points and 13 assists. On Melbourne Cup Day the stage is set for Durant and the Splash Brothers to put on a real show but The Wolf says they will not have it all their own way…

Feature Previews

1. Milwaukee @ Cleveland (11:05am)

Tip: Over 220 points ($1.91)

There is no reason for the Cavs to be starting favourites against anyone let alone the Bucks. They have been abysmal with losses in 5 of their last 6. Furthermore, their only win came when LeBron dropped 57 points! Cleveland are 2-8 ATS this season and The Wolf cannot have a piece of them at the moment. Their defence is pathetic and they have given up 112+ in each of their last 8. Their ATS margin of -11.8 is enormous and until we see a change we will do two things – back against them at the line and back the Overs. The Over is 4-1 in their last 5 and 28-9 in their last 37 following a loss. The Bucks are fresh of a long rest and we will see them really turn on the tempo.

2. Philadelphia @ Utah (1:05pm)

Tip: Philadelphia +7 ($1.92)

With Embid being ruled out the line has moved significantly but The Wolf says that the market has over compensated for his absence. After all, the 76ers have won 4 straight and have done so on the back of a complete team effort. Ben Simmons is playing with the poise and confidence of a veteran and The Wolf just cannot get over the level he is playing at. Utah’s identity is slowly changing. They continue to rank at the bottom of the league in terms of possessions per game but they have not been as effective on defence as we have been used to seeing. They have allowed 100+ in three straight and we will be taking them on as a result. The 76ers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 after allowing 100+ points and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 when playing on 3 or more days rest. A fresh and youthful 76ers will put up a real fight!

3. Oklahoma City @ Sacramento (2:35pm)

Tip: Under 206 points ($1.91)

Lillard got the better of Westbrook last time out but we saw a tonne of Westbrook fire once Melo was ejected. What we also saw was the Unders continue to salute in Thunder matches. The Under is 7-2 in Thunder games this season and will no doubt continue in Sacramento. The Kings rank 29th in points per game, 28th in shooting percentage and 28th in assists per game. The Wolf cannot see the Kings reach 90 points let alone triple figures meaning you want to be on the Unders!
