NBA Tips – 8th February

The Wolf has been crying for us to fade the Cavs and we will continue to do so. They were pathetic against Orlando yesterday and now host the Timberwolves in the second of a back to back. They are in a DEEP hole at the moment!

NBA Feature Previews

1. Houston @ Miami (11:35am)
The Rockets were at it again yesterday – this time in Brooklyn. The Nets did make them work with their starters all logging close to or more than 35 minutes. The Wolf says not to fall into the trap of recent results and the fact that Houston are 8-1 in their last 9. The reality is that they are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 when on 0 days rest while the Heat are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 when facing teams with a winning record. The result in this one will be determined by scheduling which is why we will back Miami with the start. After a tough back to back you can be sure that the Rockets will be keen to let their hair down at South Beach.
Tip: Miami +4.5 ($1.92)

2. Minnesota @ Cleveland (12:05pm)
Those who have been listening to The Wolf when it comes to the Cavs have been filling their boots! They have lost 9 of their last 13 and are 3-18 ATS in their last 21! Furthermore, they are 5-24 ATS in their last 29 at home to teams with a losing road record and 0-7 ATS in their last 7 versus teams with a win percentage above .600. They are in complete disarray and against a ultra efficient side like the Timberwolves, they are in big trouble yet again.
Tip: Minnesota -3.5 ($1.92)

3. Utah @ Memphis (12:05pm)
What has happened to Utah??? A side that was consistently synonymous with slow pace has poured in 511 points in it’s last 4 games at an average of 128ppg! They have won 6 in a row and that includes victories over Detroit, Toronto, Golden State and San Antonio. Naturally the Overs is 4-0 in their last 4 which means we could be in for a surprisingly high scoring encounter. The Over is 6-2 in the Grizzlies last 8 and 4-0 in their last 4 when on the immediate backup. Overs!
Tip: Over 202 points ($1.91)
