NBA Tips – 7th November

Another Cavs loss was overshadowed by one of the performances of the year with James Harden destroying the Jazz with 56 points and 13 assists. On Melbourne Cup Day the stage is set for Durant and the Splash Brothers to put on a real show but The Wolf says they will not have it all their own way…

Feature Previews

1. Boston @ Atlanta (11:35am)

Tip: Under 205.5 points ($1.91)

Atlanta celebrated a win in Cleveland yesterday but The Wolf says they couldn’t be facing a more contrasting opponent on the second of a back to back. The Cavs are the worst defensive team in the NBA ranking last in several categories including defensive efficiency and opponent 3-point percentage. Today they host the league’s best defence – and by some margin. They are holding opponents to 93.8ppg (1st) and also rank first in efficiency to go with 2nd in opponent 3-pointers made. The Wolf is surprised to see this total set above 200. The Under is 6-1 in the Hawks last 7 when on a back to back and 4-0 in Botston’s 4 road games this season. The Hawks will not be making 11 three’s like they did against the Cavs. Unders!

2. Brooklyn @ Phoenix (1:05pm)

Tip: Over 235.5 points ($1.91)

When the two fastest teams in the league clash the rule is simple – back the Overs! They are ranked one and two in possessions per game to go with 29th and 30th in opponents points per game. These two sides do not play defence and it is the reason why the Over is 7-0 in the last 7 meetings in Phoenix. They reached this total when they met a fortnight ago and that was after a slow 1st quarter and the Nets shooting just 29% from beyond the arc. Brooklyn have conceded at least 122 points in each of their last three games and a 4th in a row will ensure the Overs salutes.

3. Miami @ Golden State (2:35pm)

Tip: Miami +16.5 ($1.92)

The Heat continue their west coast road trip and after scoring an upset win over the Clippers The Wolf expects them to keep things close at Oracle Arena. They are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 when on 0 days rest, 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings with the Warriors. The Warriors are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 at Oracle and this is a huge line! With Whiteide back in the line up we will see the Heat continue to improve their results. The Heat to cover the start.
