NBA Tips – 7th January

The Overs saluted in yet another Bucks game and they are backing up with a trip to Washington. The Wolf says to get on the Overs again!

NBA Feature Previews

1. Cleveland @ Orlando (11:05am)

Isaiah Thomas returns after missing the clash against the Celtics and based on what we saw in his one and only match he will be of huge benefit to the Cavs. He can genuinely take pressure of LeBron and as a perennial scorer in the clutch (4th quarter) the Cavs have a real ace up their sleeve. Their clash will the Magic shapes as more of a warmup than anything else. The Magic have lost 9 of their last 10 and with Vucevic on the sidelines and struggled offensively. The Cavs are 8-1 ATS in the lat 9 meetings in Orlando and The Wolf says not to fall into the trap of their recent 4-1 Under record. They have faced some elite defensive teams as of late – Boston, Utah and Golden State to name a few and will be chomping at the bit to break out and put up a big score. This could end up being 120-90 in the Cavs favour.

Tip: Cleveland -9.5 ($1.92)

2. Milwaukee @ Washington (12:05pm)

The Overs in Bucks games continues to be a money play and they delivered in spades yesterday blowing the total by almost 25 points! It means the Overs is now 17-4-1 in their last 22 games and the bookies have somehow set the total lower than yesterday. Why you ask… they obviously think that both teams being on a back to back will have an adverse affect on the pace – IT WON’T. The Over is 5-2 in the Bucks last 7 when on a back to back and 27-10 in the Wizards last 37 when on the immediate turnaround. In addition the Over 4-0-1 in the Wizards last 5 at home and the Bucks starters logged less minutes than usual after getting blown out by the Raptors. Overs, Overs, Overs!!!

Tip: Over 214.5 points ($1.91)

3. New Orleans @ Minnesota (1:05pm)

What a betting opportunity we have been presented with! The Timberwolves lost in Boston yesterday in what was a real grind and The Wolf says they will pay the price. As is the case with Tom Thibodeau sides the starters all logged big minutes with Towns, Butler and Wiggins combining for almost 110 minutes. The Pelicans have a habit of turning up against the better sides and are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games. The key factor in this one…the Timberwolves are 2-10-1 ATS in their last 13 at home and have won just 3 of their last 13 when on the second of a back to back. The battle against Boston was more than just physical for KAT and The Wolf says he will not be able to stand up against Cousins and Davis.

Tip: New Orleans WIN ($2.05)
