NBA Tips – 5th December

11 games to get through in the NBA today and The Wolf cannot get enough on the Timberwolves!!

1. Minnesota @ Memphis (12:05pm)

A change at the helm has not brought about a change in results for the Grizzlies who have now lost 11 straight. Conley and Parsons are still sidelined and the bookies are somehow keeping them very safe in the market. Clearly there is a concern as they are on a back to back but The Wolf says that it has provided us with some great value. They are 2-1 both straight up and ATS when on the second of a back to back this season and are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 against West teams. In addition they are sitting on even par (6-6) on the road while the Grizzlies are an abysmal 0-8 ATS in their last 8 at home. The Grind House has not lived up to the billing of seasons gone by and the Grizzlies find themselves in a deep, deep hole. They have eclipsed 100+ points in just 1 of their last 8 and that simply will not get it done when you rank 14th in defensive efficiency. T-Wolves will be howling!

Tip: Minnesota -2.5 ($1.92)

2. Golden State @ New Orleans (12:05pm)

Boogie put on some dance in Portland the other day… With his partner in crime Anthony Davis sidelined he put up 38 points and 8 rebounds. He was unstoppable and will again put the side on his back. The Warriors though have been able to keep him very quiet. They have held him to 17 or less in 3 of the last 4 meetings against him and it is hard to see him getting enough help from the supporting cast. We have seen Golden State post 123, 133 and 127 in their last 3 which means that the Pelicans will have to post a big number to compete. This series has been all about scoring. The Over is 6-2 in the last 8 encounters and 16-7 in the Warriors last 23. There will be points.

Tip: Over 228 points ($1.91)

3. Washington @ Utah (1:05pm)

The Jazz are a different beast at home and we will have to give them the respect they are due. They are 5-0 straight up and ATS in their last 5 and will also be boosted by the return of Rudy Gobert. With Rubio running the point they have really evolved offensively and you will be hard pressed to find a 5 game stretch over the last 5 years where they have averaged 115.4ppg. That has been the case during the win streak and with the Wizards struggling without John Wall The Wolf says to steer clear of the visitors. The Jazz are proven at home and will deliver a comfortable win.

Tip: Utah -4 ($1.92)
