The NBA returns after giving the NCAA Championship centre stage. We can more than make up for the day off with 13 games including the Warriors trip to Oklahoma City!
NBA Feature Previews
1. Toronto @ Cleveland (09:05am)
The Cavs needed a Herculian performance from LeBron to post a come from behind win when they met a fortnight ago. They were down by 15 at half time but 35 points and 17 points from The King allowed them to come back and win a thriller. It was a rare occasion where LeBron actually got help with Love (22 pts), Hill (22 pts), Green (15pts) and Calderon (14 pts) all contributing. The Wolf cannot see a repeat and is puzzled to see the Raptors open as outsiders. This 3 game stretch for the Raptors – Cavs, Celtics and Pacers will provide them with the perfect spring board heading into the playoffs and The Wolf expects them to go 3-0! Over is 5-1 in last 6 meetings and 16-7 in Raptors last 23 road games. If their last encounter is anything to go by (261 points), they will be blowing this total out of the park.
Tip: Toronto +1.5 ($1.92)
2. Golden State @ Oklahoma City (10:05am)
Golden State posted back to back wins for the first time in over 3 weeks but we can hardly look at it as an achievement with the wins coming against Sacramento and Phoenix. They are 0-6 in their last 6 games against teams with a winning record, 4-10 ATS in their last 14 road games and 1-9 ATS in their last 10 when on 1 days rest. Curry may be the only All-star missing from their lineup but The Wolf warns us not to underestimate his value. He gave the Warriors their identity and the Thunder have a lot to prove. They are pushing for a top 4 seed and have come out on top in 2 of the 3 meetings between the two sides this season. The Warriors will be running thin with a handful listed as game time decisions meaning we should be backing the Thunder nice and early. Take them at the line and by a big margin with Westbrook to be relentless on Quinn Cook.
Tip: Oklahoma City -4.5 ($1.92)
3. San Antonio @ LA Clippers (12:35pm)
Don’t be fooled by the Spurs consecutive wins over the Rockets and Thunder. To begin with, both came at home and lets not forget that the Rockets have clinched top spot in the west. San Antonio are a completely different team on the road. They have lost 9 of their last 10 road games and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games when facing teams with a winning home record. It all goes on the line for the Clippers who remain two games behind the 8th placed Pelicans. Every game is a must win for the Clippers in a remaining schedule that includes the Nuggets, Jazz and Pelicans. Four wins in their last five could see them clinch a playoff berth and The Wolf is expecting them to keep their hopes alive with a win over the Spurs.
Tip: LA Clippers WIN ($1.98)
