NBA Tips – 28th November

Some very interesting matches to speak of with the 76ers hosting the Cavs and the battle of LA taking place at Staples Center.

1. Detroit @ Boston (11:35am)

The two best records in the East face off at the TD Garden but if the Pistons are to maintain a spot near the top of the conference they will have to continue winning games on the road. Wins in Minnesota and Oklahoma City were split by a loss at home to the Cavs while the Celtics have posted back to back double digit wins since their win streak came to an end in Miami. In terms of ATS records the Celtics and Pistons have been two of the most profitable betting teams this season. The Celtics are 17-3-1 ATS for the season and 7-0-1 ATS in their last 8 at home. The Pistons have been just as impressive going 9-0 ATS in their last 9 road games against teams with winning home record and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 overall. They are also coming off road wins in Minnesota and Oklahoma City – both as underdogs. When two teams with dominant ATS records face off The Wolf loves being on the Overs. The Pistons are top 10 in offensive efficiency and 3rd in 3-pt percentage and despite the Celtics boasting the number 1 defence in the NBA the Over is 5-0 in their last 5!

Tip: Over 198.5 points ($1.91)

2. Dallas @ San Antonio (12:35pm)

A resurgent Dallas has caused some huge upsets over the last week with wins over the Bucks, Grizzlies and Thunder. They also blew a 13 point 4th quarter lead against Boston. They last took on the Spurs a fortnight ago where they went down by 6 and The Wolf says the result of this one is dependent solely on the Spurs. They have been clinical against bad teams going 8-1 ATS in their last 9 at home to teams with a losing road record while the Mavs are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 following a win. Aldridge had a party the last time they met with 32 points and should have another big game with Dallas lacking any significant interior presence. Dallas will find it far too difficult to score meaning we should see a double digit win for the hosts.

Tip: San Antonio -9.5 ($1.92)

3. LA Lakers @ LA Clippers (2:35pm)

In case you missed it – the Lakers have a better record that the Clippers! The Clippers were dealt a savage blow with Pat Beverley ruled out for the season and it means we will be seeing a whole lot more of Lou Williams at the point. The Austin Rivers/Thornwell guard combo was clearly not working with the Clippers losing 9 in a row but they do have 5 of their next 7 at home. The Clippers have owned the battle of LA in recent year winning 15 of the last 16 meetings. In addition the Under has ruled going 10-2 in the last 12. DeAndre Jordan has had a field day on the boards averaging 17 rebounds in the last 4 meetings and the Lakers have been giving up a stack of boards to big men this season. Markkanen (14), Alex Len (18) and Tyson Chandler (15) are just some of the recent examples with all three setting season high marks in rebounds against the men in gold and purple. Don’t be surprised when DeAndre grabs 20+ boards in this one.

Tip: Under 215 points ($1.91)
