NBA Tips – 28th April

‘Win or go home’ is the theme on Saturday as the Wizards, Pacers and Thunder look to force a Game 7.

NBA Feature Previews

1. Toronto @ Washington (Sat 9:05am)
The 108-98 scoreboard in Game 5 does not reflect just how close a game it was. The Wizards led by 5 midway through the 4th and simply could not make a three in the closing stages. The went 5 of 26 for the game to finish -18 in that department. It is far too big a deficit to make up – especially when DeRozan and Lowry combine for 49 points and 15 assists. In this series, the Wizards live and die with John Wall. He has been phenomenal, averaging 27 points, 12 assists and 6 rebounds. If the likes of Beal, Porter, Morris and Oubre could make a shot we could see him post 20 assists! The same goes for Gortat who has missed layup after layup this series. The home team is 5-0 both straight up and ATS in this series and The Wolf is expecting that trend to continue. The Raptors are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 road games and John Wall has shown that he can carry the Wizards to victory on his own.
Best: Washington -2.5 ($1.92)
Prop: Multi – John Wall 25+ points/12+ assists ($4.00)

2. Cleveland @ Indiana (Sat 10:05am)
‘The King’ came to the party in to help fight off a Pacers comeback and provide the Cavs with a chance to close out the series. He was incredible with 44 points including a buzzer beater to win the game – all after blocking Victor Oladipo. He has been able to get to the rim at will and the Pacers have not been able to stop him. He continues to get no help which is the reason why the Pacers are 4-1 ATS in the series. The combined margin in the last four games has been just 12 points and The Wolf says we will be going down to the wire yet again. The Under is 5-0 in the 5 games and 5-0 in the last 5 meetings in Indiana. The Pacers have been a great bounce back team and are now 7-0 ATS in their last 7 following a loss. This series deserves Game 7 and we will get it. As has been the case all series long – LeBron will get his but the lack of help will allow the Pacers to get the ‘W’.
Best: Indiana -1 ($1.92)
Prop: Multi – LeBron James 35+ points/10+ rebounds ($3.96)

3. Oklahoma City @ Utah (Sat 12:35pm)
There should be a global ban on criticising Westbrook. People call him a ‘stat padder’ and a bad team-mate. The Wolf says that persons who share this view have no idea. He has the biggest heart in the NBA and his will to win is unrivaled in any sport. The Thunder were down and out until Westbrook took it upon himself to extend the series and the season. He ended with 45 points ans 15 boards with 5 made 3-pointers. Coach Billy Donovan finally decided to sit Melo who has been horrific throughout the series. He is shooting 37% from the floor and 21% from beyond the arc. The Thunder cannot afford to let him shoot and The Wolf says Westbrook will no longer be looking for him. Westbrook has averaged 28 shot attempts in the 3 games in Oklahoma City compared to just 17 attempts in the two matches in Utah. Look for a similar performance to Game 5 and that will ensure that the Thunder cover the big start. Westbrook will not go down without swinging!
Best: Oklahoma City +6 ($1.92)
Prop: Russell Westbrook 30+ points ($2.40)
