NBA Tips – 1st December

We have a stack of teams on the second of a back to back including the Timberwolves, Heat and Wizards. With all of them on the road The Wolf is predicting a difficult day at the office.

1. Cleveland @ Atlanta (11:35am)

The Cavs have now won 9 straight and there have been two standout trends during that streak – a huge improvement on defence and some very fast starts. They have held their last 3 opponents to a sub 100 score and have a 1st quarter average scoring margin of +6.6 in their last 6. We saw what happened to the Hawks last time out against the Raptors… they let them get away early and it was curtains at half time when Toronto built a 28 point lead.Hard to see anything but a ultra fast start from the Cavs before completely switching off in the 4th quarter.

Tip: Wire to Wire – Cleveland ($2.40)

2. Chicago @ Denver (1:05pm)

The Denver zigzag continued in Utah. They have now gone WLWLWLWL both straight up and ATS in their last 8 games. Their ATS margin is incredible as the smallest margin of victory/defeat has been 12 points. In English… the Nuggets simply do not get involved in any close games. They are either on or off and against the Bulls they will be ON! They are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 meetings with Chicago and 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Denver. A young Chicago team will struggle to adapt to the altitude and we will see them fade dramatically in the closing stages. Denver to cover the line with ease.

Tip: Denver -11 ($1.92)

3. Milwaukee @ Portland (2:05pm)

Milwaukee has dominated this series in recent seasons winning 5 of the last 6. Dating further back they are 7-2-1 ATS in the last 10 encounters and 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Portland. The Bucks have won just as many games on the road this season as they have at home and their length makes them a very tough matchup for the Blazers. One thing we will not see much of in this game is a Blazers fastbreak. They rank last in fastbreak point per game wiht 4.5 and the Bucks defend it better than anyone else. As a result this will not be a pace and space game. The Under is 6-0 in Blazers last 6 home games and 10-2 in their last 12 overall. Furthermore 7 of the last 10 meetings have gone Under including the last 3 in Rip City. Unders!

Tip: Under 202 points ($1.91)
