NBA Tips – 15th November

We had huge drama at Madison Square Garden yesterday with the Cavs coming back from 23 points down to beat the Knicks. Just the 3 games to speak of today with the Raptors trip to Houston set the be the highlight.

Feature Previews

1. Boston @ Brooklyn (11:35am)

When with this Boston win streak come to an end… Brad Stevens’ side has shown an incredible amount of resolve over the last week. They came back from 18 down against the Hornets without Kyrie and Horford before the latter of the two led them to yet another come from behind win – this time over the Raptors. It’s the Celtics defence which has been the key to success and they have made it almost impossible for teams to put 100+ points on the board. They are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 road games and with Brooklyn down in 20th in offensive efficiency The Wolf is expecting one way traffic.

Tip: Boston -7.5 ($1.92)

2. Toronto @ Houston (12:05pm)

They have had some super exciting battles over the last few seasons and the trend looks set to continue. The Rockets have been scoring points for fun and they continue to be super effective from beyond the arc. They continue to put Capela in the high pick and roll with Harden and create wide open looks for their knockdown shooters. They attempt 45 3-pointers per game and with so many long shot attempts we see them get effortless offensive rebounds. The Raptors rank 18th in opponent 3 point % but even more concerning is that they make only 33.5% of their 3 pointers (27th). History suggests that the Raptors will have to find a way to go with them. The Over is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings and 4-1 in the Rockets last 5 against East teams. Harden averaged 35 points, 8 rebounds and 13 assists in the two meetings last season and has been on fire. The Wolf says he will be shocked if he doesn’t post 30+ points and 10+ assists.

Tip: Over 219 points ($1.91)

3. San Antonio @ Dalls (12:35pm)

One thing we know about the Spurs is that they are clinical against bad basketball teams. They bead a lackluster Bulls outfit by 39 points and Wolfy has the Mavs in the same realm as the Bulls. The Mavs have lost 8 of their last 9 and are 1-7 ATS in their last 8. We already know how bad they are in terms of rebounding and it will really hurt them against one of the premier defensive teams in the NBA. Dirk will go down as one of the greats but right now he is a turn-style. He is shooting 28% from beyond the arc in his last 6 games, can no longer get to the free throw line and cannot win a contested rebound. These are all reasons why the Mavs are 3-13-1 ATS in their last 17 against West teams and their woes will continue.

Tip: San Antonio -6.5 ($1.92)
