NBA Tips – 15th February

The All-Star break is almost upon us and we have a huge slate of 12 games to come before most of them have a break. It’s a huge day and The Wolf cannot wait. He has rolled out all 5 chips for Over 226.5 points in the Warriors/Blazers clash.

NBA Feature Previews

1. Toronto @ Chicago (12:05pm)
Toronto deserve their spot atop the standings in the East. They are 5-0 both straight up and ATS in their last 5 and will want to close out their last game before the All-Star break with a dominant win. The Bulls were one of the best ATS teams up until a fortnight ago but have fallen off a cliff. They are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 when on 1 days rest. As it stands it seems like they have too many ball handlers. The return of LaVine has actually had an adverse effect on their game flow as he, Grant and Valentine all like to handle the ball. With Dunn also set to return they will have to figure it out sooner rather than later. The Wolf also has concerns over their 3-point defence. Currently, only 3 other sides allow more made 3’s and with the Raptors averaging 17 made 3’s in their last three games, The Wolf has them shooting the lights out.
Tip: Toronto -6.5 ($1.92)

2. LA Clippers @ Boston (12:05pm)
The Celtics were embarrassed by their biggest rival on their home court and The Wolf is expecting an immediate response! The 22 point loss at home to the Cavs was a real reality check and you can be assure that they will bounce back in a big way. The Celtics are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 following a double digit loss at home and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous match. In addition they are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 when on 2 days rest. The extra days rest will have done them the world of good and the wizard that is Brad Stevens, will have drawn up the game plan to dismantle the Clippers.
Tip: Boston -4.5 ($1.92)

3. Golden State @ Portland (2:35pm)
With Houston putting pressure on the Warriors for the top seed in the West we are set to see the best of the defending champs in the coming weeks. They will know the importance of claiming the top seed and home court advantage which is great news for the neutrals. It’s bad news for the Blazers who are fully aware of the ability of the Warriors. The Warriors have won 11 straight against Portland including 5 straight at the Moda Center. The Wolf says we will be making our biggest bet of the day on the total. The Over is 8-1 in the last 9 meetings in Portland not to mention 13-3 in the Blazers last 16 following a double digit loss at home. The Wolf says he could reel off stat after stat… The Over is 11-5 in the Warriors last 16 against West teams with the Over 10-3 in the Blazers last 13 inter-conference matchups. All you need to know is… Overs!
Tip: Over 226.5 points ($1.91)
