NBA Tips – 14th November

The King heads to Madison Square Garden where Porzingis fever has hit new levels. In the late game Simmons and co will look to bounce back from a basketball lesson against the Warriors when they take on the Clippers.

Feature Previews

1. Cleveland @ New York (11:35am)

In case you’ve missed it there is a new sheriff in New York and his name is Kristaps Porzingis. He is averaging over 30ppg on the season to go with more than 8 rebounds and multiple blocks. He has been phenomenal for the Knicks in a run of 7 wins in their last 9 yet the bookies still have them as underdogs at home… The Wolf is far from ready to start backing the Cavs and their most recent win over the Mavs was less than impressive. They are giving up far too many points and the Knicks can get on a real roll in the Garden. Knicks are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 at home and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 following a win. They rank 7th in offensive efficiency and 3rd in floor %. Against the worst defensive side in the NBA they will pour it up.

Tip: New York +4.5 ($1.92)

2. Memphis @ Milwaukee (12:05pm)

There are far too many similarities between their encounters over the last few season for us to ignore them. The home side is 7-0 straight up and 5-2 ATS with the Under going 7-2-1 in last 10 and 6-0-1 in the last 7 in Milwaukee. Moreover they are 25th and 29th respectively in possessions per game. Add the fact that Memphis are 1st in opponent shooting % and you have a recipe for a low scoring encounter. With the Bucks adding Bledsoe you will see more of Antetokounmpo in the paint which will result in an increase in his rebounding numbers. He has had 12 and 15 board in the two games that Bledsoe has featured in and The Wolf expects his average to rise to above 12 per game. Back him in the player props.

Tip: Under 203 points ($1.91)

3. Philadelphia @ LA Clippers (2:35pm)

Philly now know what the benchmark in the NBA looks like. They allowed 135 points in a 21 point loss to the Warriors as the reigning champs shot 58% from the floor and 52% from beyond the arc. The Clippers will not match those numbers but they will really have to ramp things up on defence. This will be the first of back to back matches at Staples Center as the also play the Lakers in two days time. A young team bunkered up in LA over the weekend spells trouble but The Wolf is backing them to bounce back. With Pat Beverley out again The Wolf has no trust in Rivers and Thornwell as the guards. JJ Reddick will have a field day against his former team and Ben Simmons will have a huge size advantage in his matchup. The Clippers 0-5 both straight up and against the spread in their last 5 and have not been able to get anything going. The youthful 76ers to impress under the bright lights of LA.

Tip: Philadelphia WIN ($1.95)
