The new look Cavs are coming off a crushing win in Boston. How will they stack up when they take on Westbrook and Paul George in Oklahoma City.
NBA Feature Previews
1. Houston @ Minnesota (12:05pm)
The Rockets current win streak stands at 8 but they face a genuine test in Minnesota. The Timberwolves have the second best home record in the NBA (23-6) and are a very impressive 10-1 ATS in their last 11 at home. Houston has dominated this series with wins in 9 of the last 10 with scoring being the feature of their matches. The Over is 12-2 in the last 14 meetings and that trend looks set to continue. The Over is 5-0 in the Timberwolves last 5 and 9-2 in their last 11 when facing teams with a winning record. Houston and Minnesota rank 1st and 3rd respectively in terms of offensive efficiency with the Timberwolves claiming top spot with respect to floor percentage. With names like Harden, CP3, Towns and Butler on the floor there will be no stopping either side on the offensive end.
Tip: Over 222 points ($1.91)
2. Cleveland @ Oklahoma City (12:05pm)
We have to mention the fact that the all new Cavs beat the Celtics by 22 points in Boston but are we ready to buy into them… NO, says The Wolf. One game is no sample to go by and winning in Oklahoma City will be no easy feat. Westbrook and Melo are well rested while Paul George has been lighting it up in their absence. The Thunder are on of the better sides defending the 3-ball and The Wolf is adamant that the Cavs will not go close to replicating the 53% they shot from beyond the arc against the Celtics. He warns not to buy into the Cavs. Thunder!
Tip: Oklahoma City -1 ($1.92)
3. San Antonio @ Denver (2:35pm)
A short-handed Spurs roster put up a huge fight in Utah yesterday but they find themselves in the worst city possible for the second of a back to back – Denver. The altitude is sure to have an adverse effect on an ageing roster that will again be without it’s best two players – Aldridge and Leonard. The Spurs are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 when on 0 days rest to go with 0-4 ATS against teams with a winning record. Denver will look to run the floor and expose the likes of Ginobili, Gasol and Parker. Jokic to have a field day down low!
Tip: Denver -5 ($1.92)
