NBA Tips – 12th November

The Cavs defensive frailties were on full display yesterday while the Pelicans and Lakers both failed on the road. Today The Wolf is very interested to see how the Thunder pull up on the second of a back to back. He suspects that Westbrook will put the team on his back!

Feature Previews

1. Cleveland @ Dallas (12:35pm)

The Cavs have now lost 7 of their last 10 and The Wolf is happy to lay them all day long! They allowed 117 point in Houston and that was with the Rockets scoring just 17 in the final quarter. They not only have the worst defensive rating in the league, they are the owners of the worst defensive rating in history. They are inept at defending the 3-ball and in a shooting dominated league that spells trouble. Dallas are far from a great scoring team but they do shoot 37% from beyond the arc – 9th best in the NBA. On that number alone The Wolf is willing to take the Mavs and it helps when the hosts are also 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings and 4-1 ATS in the last 5 clashes in Dallas.

Tip: Dallas +5.5 ($1.92)

2. Philadelphia @ Golden State (12:35pm)

It is hard to remember the last time Philly had a winning record more than 10 games into the season but they are a legitimate playoff team this season. They face the ultimate test though – a trip to Oracle Arena against a Warriors side that are back to their best. The defending NBA champs are 5-0 both straight up and ATS in their last 5, averaging 120.4ppg in that stretch. That being said The Wolf thinks the line that has been set is somewhat disrespectful as to what the 76ers have been doing over the last fortnight. They are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 and are 5-0 ATS in the last 5 against the Warriors. As a result Wolfy says we will be playing the totals in this one. The Over is 8-2 in 76ers last 10 road games and 16-6 in the Warriors last 22. The two sides rank 1st and 3rd respectively in 3-point percentage and that is great news for the Over!

Tip: Over 230 points ($1.91)

3. Orlando @ Denver (1:05pm)

The Magic were flawless as one of The Wolf’s feature previews yesterday accounting for Phoenix with ease. A comfortable win means that all of their starters were rested early and that is great news heading to the heights of Denver for the second of a back to back. The Nuggets have been money at home going 5-2 to date with their only losses coming against Golden State and Washington. That being said the +8 looks astronomical. The Magic are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 when on the second of a back to back after opening on the road. We’ll be riding Orlando and they will continue to shoot the lights out.

Tip: Orlando +8 ($1.92)
