NBA Tips – 11th January

We’re back in business with a full slate of 11 games! Porland look to make it back back upset road wins when they travel to Houston while the Thunder and Timberwolves clash in what could be a playoff matchup preview.

NBA Feature Previews

1. New Orleans @ Memphis (12:05pm)

If there is one thing that the Pelicans have done well this season it is bead down bad teams on the road. They are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 road games against teams with a losing home record while the Grizzlies are a very disappointing 3-12-1 ATS in their last 16 games at home. The ‘Grindhouse’ has been a fortress in recent season but things are different this time around. Tony Allen is no longer with the franchise while the injury to Mike Conley has virtually derailed them. They opened the season with 7 wins in their first 11 games but have since lost 21 of their last 26 without him. The Wolf cannot have any piece of them!

Tip: New Orleans WIN ($1.87)

2. Oklahoma City @ Minnesota (12:05pm)

The Timberwolves are starting to get people’s attention! They have won 9 of their last 12 including back to back double digit wins over the Pelicans and Timberwolves. Tom Thibodeau is clearly starting to have an impact – especially on defence. The Under is 6-1 in their last 7 and they are very tidy with the ball ranking 2nd in turnovers per game. The Thunder will be livid with their performance against the Blazers yesterday, in particular allowing 117 points to a team that averages just 103ppg and was without it’s best player. The Wolf is expecting them to bounce right back and despite having some bad losses on their CV they have played their best against the top echelon of the NBA. The Under is 8-1 in their last 9 against teams with a winning percentage of above .600 and they will not want to run with Minnesota after seeing them torch the Cavs. Unders!

Tip: Under 212.5 points ($1.91)

3. Atlanta @ Denver (1:05pm)

The roller coaster that is the Nuggets continues. Despite having a 21-19 record and currently holding down a playoff spot they are yet to win more than 3 consecutive games this season. They have however been money at home where they are 9-3 ATS in their last 12. It looks a big line but The Wolf says this one may very well be a blowout. The Hawks are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and their overall road record of 3-19 is officially the worst in the NBA. Murray and Harris are quickly becoming one of the most dangerous backcourts in the league while Jokic is really taking control of the paint in Millsap’s absence.

Tip: Denver -9 ($1.92)
