Get ready NBA fans as we have an absolute beauty today with Houston hosting Cleveland. The Wolf says we will find out several things highlighted by how bad the Cavs are and how much they are currently relying on LeBron James.
1. New Orleans @ Toronto (11:35am)
The Pelicans may be on a 3 game winning streak but they cannot continue to rely on astronomical numbers from Cousins and Davis. They combined for 69 points, 27 rebounds and 10 assist in a come from behind win over the Pacers. The Wolf says they will need similar numbers if they are to be any chance in Toronto. The Raptors are top 10 in the league in fastbreak points and offensive efficiency and that spell danger for a side that does not do a good job on the defensive end. The Pelicans are 2-8 ATS in their last 8 after scoring 100 or more in their previous game while the Raptors are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 against West teams. The Raptors have won the last 4 meetings and the Wolf has them making it 5. Boogie and AD will put up huge numbers but it will not be enough.
2. Cleveland @ Houston (12:05pm)
If you have been sleeping under a rock you will be completely unaware that the Cavs have lost 6 of their last 9 and have gone 1-7-1 ATS in the process. They have given up at least 112 points to each of their last 9 opponents and the Over is 4-0 in their last 4. They rank last in the league in terms of defensive efficiency and 28th in opponents points per game. They are relying on huge numbers from LeBron to be competitive and it is a very dangerous formula. The Over is also 4-0 in the Rockets last 4 but the differebce us that they are coming off wins in Nee York and Atlanta, not to mention a 27 point win over the Jazz. Rockets are also 5-0 ATS in their last 5 when coming of 3 or more days rest so look for them to blowout the Cavs. The Wolf says not to be surprised if the Rockets win by 20. LeBron will fill up the stat sheet but it will not make a difference.
3. Oklahoma City @ Denver (2:35pm)
Denver underdogs at home to Oklahoma City… C’MON MAN! The Thunder are 0-3 both straight up and ATS in their last 3 and have failed to reach 100 points in that stretch. The Under in their matches continue to be an absolute money play going 4-0 in their last 4 road games and 13-3 in their last 16 following a ATS loss. Westbrook continues to make a conscious effort of getting his team-mates going but they have not responded. They rank 23rd in ppg, 20th in efficiency and 21st in 3-point percentage. They can do some great work on defence but Denver are monstrous in the paint with 50.2ppg (3rd). Jokic had 41 and 12 last time out and was 2 assists shy of a triple double when he last faced the Thunder. OKC are a sub .500 team on the road and that will not change. Denver!
