NBA Tips – 10th February

We get our first look at the all new Cavs but The Wolf doesn’t expect much to change. With a significant amount of changes it will take time for them to work new personnel into the rotation. Wolfy is adamant that they will not get out of the East and will continue to fade them against the spread.

NBA Feature Previews

1. Milwaukee @ Miami (12:05pm)
Get ready for a old-skool defensive slog on South Beach. The Bucks have won 7 of their last 8 and it has come on the back of their defence. They are allowing just 96ppg in that stretch which is well below their season average of 104.6ppg. We will see them start to climb the defensive efficiency rankings and they will likely join the 6th ranked Heat in the top 10 by the time the playoffs come around. As a result the Under is 8-0 in their last 8 which bodes nicely for their trip to Miami where the Under is 14-5-1 in the last 20 meetings. Miami have lost their last 5 including back to back home games where they gave up 111 and 109 points. That is even more reason to back the Under. Their defence will be the first thing that coach Spoelstra will look to address – great news for The Wolfpack.
Tip: Under 199.5 points ($1.91)

2. Minnesota @ Chicago (12:05pm)
The Timberwolves may be 4th in the West but The Wolf would like to warn us about their inability to win on the road. They are 5 games under .500 on the road and have lost their last 5 away games. It is no surprise that they are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 road games and The Wolf is shocked to see them giving away more than 5 points start. The Bulls may have lost their last 7 but ‘The Finnisher’ makes his return after missing 3 games with the birth of his first child. With Mirotic now in New Orleans look for his number to sky rocket. He had posted double-double’s in 3 of his last 4 and The Wolf says to pencil him in for another one. Upset alert – the Bulls will be ending their losing streak.
Tip: Chicago +6.5 ($1.91)

3. Portland @ Sacramento (2:35pm)
If there is one thing we know about the Kings it is that they consistently get exposed by teams in the West. Their straight up record against West teams reads 9-22 for the season and they are a miserable 3-14 ATS in their last 17 Conference games. This line would have been bigger had the Blazers not been on the second of a back to back, but the fact that they are is why The Wolf is so onto them. They are 13-5 straight up and 13-4-1 ATS in their last 18 when on no rest. The Blazers were sloppy in the 4th quarter against the Hornets and The Wolf expects them to rectify things in Sacramento.
Tip: Portland -6 ($1.92)
