NBA Finals Tips: Warriors @ Cavs (Game 3)

The Cavs were in it for most of Game 2 until video game Steph game out to play. Can the Warriors take their shooting with them on the road or will LeBron James finally get some help…

NBA Finals Preview and Tips

NBA: Warriors @ Cavs РGame 3 (Thur 11:10am)

The Wolf is definitely done taking the Unders in this series. Defensively the Cavs have been as soft as stuffed toys while the Warriors sharpshooters have been right on target.

Can Cavs ‘Defend The Land’…

Most definitely! Cavs have been right in it both games despite Warriors averaging less than 10 TO, being +27 from beyond the arc and +16 in assists. Cavs threw Game 1 and LeBron has had zero help. Cleveland have consistently missed open/uncontested shots while Warriors are making bombs and getting huge production out of role players. If the Cavs can get any production out of their shooters (JR, Korver, Green and Clarkson) we could get a series.

Does LeBron have any faith in his supporting cast…

NO, and it is the reason why The Wolf thinks this is the game where LeBron just takes matters into his own hands. ‘The King’ is 5 of 11 from beyond the arc in the series while the rest of the team is a combined 14 of 53 – that’s 26%. Cleveland’s role players have been better at home throughout the playoffs but we cannot just pencil them in to show up in Game 3.

What do the stats say…

Warriors are 7-18 ATS in their last 25 following a win and 7-21-1 ATS in their last 29 following a double digit victory. The Cavs on the other hand are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 at home and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 following a ATS loss. There is a statistical push for the Overs. Over is 10-1 in Cavs last 11 following a 7 or more days between home games and 5-2 in their last 7 following a ATS loss. There is also the fact that the Warriors have been consistently able to break down the Cavs defence and any attempts to double team. We have seen more than enough uncontested dunks and layups.

The verdict…

The Cavs will take at least one of the two games in Cleveland and LeBron will be going all out to make it Game 3! The Warriors are averaging in excess of 120ppg in the series and have averaged 118ppg in their last 4 trips to Cleveland. Cleveland haven’t been able to slow them down and will have to go with them. Overs!

Wolf’s NBA Playoffs Best Bet Record: 36-33
