The MLB World Series is going to game 7 after the Dodgers won 3-1 on Wednesday. The Dodgers came back from a 1-0 deficit and got to Verlander in the 6th inning. So they now have the momentum at home against the Astros and the betting says the same. The Wolf went the over total runs in game 6 but he did pick both home run hitters (Springer and Pederson) and the Dodgers to win as a side bet. So the Wolf is back for the last game of the season with his preview of game 7.
Houston Astros at Los Angeles Dodgers (11:15am)
In game 7 of the World Series, the Dodgers will send Yu Darvish to the mound against Lance McCullers of the Astros. The Astros will be confident after knocking Darvish out of the 2nd inning in game 3. They won that game 5-3, but this game is at Dodger Stadium. Darvish will be looking forward to his first home start of the postseason in Los Angeles. He’s made three straight road starts and has given up a home run in each. But the Dodgers are still 2-1 in those 3 games. In the regular season, he made 4 home starts and the Dodgers went 2-2. But the concern is again the long ball as he’s allowed 5 home runs in those 4 starts. He also owns a 4.84 ERA at Dodger Stadium this season. His record against the Astros isn’t great either, having lost 3 of his last 5 starts against them with a no-decision as well. So the Wolf is expecting the Astros to get on base again in game 6. They out-hit the Dodgers in game 6, but couldn’t convert with runners in scoring position. Lance McCullers has pitched well at home recently and he earned a win in the 5-3 victory over the Dodgers. His last road start was against the Yankees and he pitched 6 innings, allowing just 2 hits. If he can control walks in game 7 (4 in game 3), the Astros are a very good chance of winning. George Springer is leading the way in the lineup as he homered again in game 6. He’s batting .375 in the series at the leadoff position. They’ll be hoping Altuve and Correa step up in this game as they both went 0-4 on Wednesday. But in the end, this game will likely come down to which bullpen holds the lead. They’ve both been inconsistent in this series. The Dodgers have used Morrow and Jansen extensively which is a concern if Darvish struggles early on. The Astros haven’t used closer Ken Giles for a while and his form is concerning if the Astros need him in the 9th. In the betting, the Dodgers are the favourite. But the Wolf is going back to the over runs. The over total runs saluted in the last matchup between these pitchers (8 runs). Both bullpens will be tested and with the series on the line, the Wolf can see both sides having a better day converting at the plate. So back the over total runs and enjoy the game! Thanks for reading the Wolf’s tips all season.
